I think the guys from B99 all seem kind of decent ? We don’t really get to see their family life because that’s not the point of the show but they all seem to be supportive of their wives. Jake is immature in the first few seasons but he’s very supportive of Amy, and always shuts down sexist remarks etc

I'll probably mention characters not everyone knows, but if I would still to make a list:

Takeo Gouda from the Anime "Ore Monogatari - My love story!"
The teenager Takeo Gouda is literally the definiton of a "gentle giant". He's big, strong, very kind and helps people without asking, but because he's not really that attractive (like an Oger) he's often rejected by girls he falls in love with.
Instead of becoming an hateful Incel however, he keeps on being a good person, which leads him to meet the girl Rinko Yamato as he rescues her from a groper -physically grabbing the arm of the groaper - and later from a falling construction piece.
When she insist on meeting up with him & his best friend, Takeo wrongfully believes that she fell in love with his best friend (very attractive guy) and does everything to bring them together -even trying to ignore his own feelings for her.
It gets even better in their relationship! He literally swears to himself to "never make Rinko cry again" (after he nearly dies in a fire, rescuing her friends), is protective (going so far as to fight with a wild boar), puts enormous effort into planning dates and is actually very hesitant to touch her in any way.

While he's not directly a...man (he's a male skeleton) and while it's hard to call the ingame hangout he has with your character (a child) a "date" (It's really nothing pedophilic here. He's kinda in love with the idea of having a date, not in love with actually dating), under all his naivity, he's definitly HV.
Not only puts he an enormous effort into his dream to become part of the Royal Guard, tries to learn how to cook to make food for his friends, but also puts in an enormous effort into having a positive impression on the player. Again, not in the pedophilic sense (the game is very innocent here), but in the sense that he plans everything on the date (even reading a whole book about it) and afterwards still tries to help the player in friendship like manner.
Corvus Umbranox from TES: Oblivion
A side character and the head the thieves guild.
After accidentally wearing a cursed cowl, his identity as a count is erased, forcing him to live in everlasting anonymity.
In this state, he could pretty much do everything, as people would only know him as "the Gray Fox" (including easily pumping &dumping young women), but instead he does everything in these 10years to get his identity back -including organizing a heist of an Elder Scroll.
Which is pretty much one of the rarest & most protected things in the TES universe (imagine stealing the crown of the pope, as a comparision)
Quasimodo (Book and Disney movie)
While I hate the Hunchback of Notre Dame movie like I hate spinach, I do have to give them probs for getting Quasimodo's personality partially right.
In the book even more established; Quasimodo is a bell ringer, who was sadly born with several deformities and unattractive traits. Being bound to his caretaker & adoptive father Frollo, he falls in love with the gypsy Esmeralda after shows him mercy at the pillory. Afterwards, he not only saves her from hanging, but also from a rape attempt from Frollo in the church, tries to defend her when the church gets stormed and literally lays down besides her corpse to die with her from starvation.
Oh, and might I add that during this time, he never thinks she owes him a relationship? He himself says that she's too beautiful for him and gives her his own bed & food after saving her.

There are very very few hvm in media at all and when they are included in media they are portrayed as either the bad guy, the guy the girl doesn’t chose in the end, or the guy who stole the girl from the “quirky yet lovable” good for nothing protagonist

The husband from Ghost Whisperer? Accepted her even with all the supernatural stuff, always protected her, literally came back from the dead to make sure she and their child was ok and cared for. Fit, attractive, had a good job as a firefighter!

Bruno Bucciarati from Jojo, he willingly gave his life up to save his friends. All of his friends are actually just people who he took a chance on and took them in and made them the best version of themselves, and even if they turned on him, he just protected the people who still stood by his side from the people who started to disrespect him.
