I’d love some recommendations of movies, preferably about women and preferably without a romantic subplot, I’ve been struggling to find movies about women where their actions and non-romantic relationships make up the entirety of the plot.

I’m trying to be happy being single but the movies I keep watching seem to suggest women don’t have a story to tell unless they are also falling in love while telling it.

Anyone have any Movie suggestions about a woman finding success/happiness without a male companion? Or if that’s too tall of an order I guess I’ll settle for one with a HVM role model?
