Who has it harder : a 50th percentile male, or a 50th percentile female?

Let’s just say you have two people who are essentially identical apart from their gender and small variations in their personality. They are both 30 years old, the male is 5’9 (average male height) with a decent build and normal social skills. The female is 5’4 (average female height) with a similar decent build and a good social network. They both earn $50k a year, and don’t present any chronic mental or physical illnesses.

Which one has a harder life in general? Which one has a harder life in dating? Why?
