what you’re describing is called transference. men have this concept of “woman” in their head which is the ideal. they resent “becky” for not giving them a shot so they project on the “accesible” one.

it happens with guys as well. women have this idea that ll men are like the ones they’ve dealt with so they transfer that judgement to the guys in front of them.

its easier to go off or disrespect those we dont consider important, thats why porn stars will be defended by everyone but a 5/10 cant possibly have standards.

I think YOU might be underestimating your friend's attractiveness. A distinctive pretty woman with a curvy body? That makes guys horny and when guys are horny that's when we make fools of ourselves going for it all immediately or whatever. You might be right that she maxes out the real attraction vs imagined social status ratio, but what you're describing sounds like she's very attractive at least to a good portion.

Although at the end your point was well and acceptable , the way you got there seems a bit jumbled and straining under presumed assumptions about men and their motivations... 1- there are more than one reason guys might mock these women , think a fat schlubby dude wearing a "no fat chicks" t-shirt...2- sexual harassers are can become specialists , and your friend sounds naive due to her lack of experience and probably modest and sweet disposition.... 3- putting aside the standard position of propping each other up no matter what, from your account , I don't think you actually find your friend all that attractive or voluptuous women in general...hmm, to many men nothing can be further from the truth , to me sounds VERY attractive, a per your description..... 4- and finally, the "men that constantly approach in certain spots" and incels are two separate and at times warring factions within the manosphere, if you will, just as traditional women differ from sex positive feminists , and so their motivations and outlook can be somewhat different.... but your point about acknowledging the humanity in all women independently and separately from any and all conditions or limitations. I’m 40F, men have been coming into me since my teens. I haven’t always wanted the attention but I’ve never considered that harassment even when they were persistent. I have however been actually sexual harassed. There’s a huge difference.

I feel like there’s just so many mixed messages about these things nowadays. that make it so hard for guys to just pursue the women they find attractive.

Must be a weird reality for you. If someone isn’t attractive to me, I don’t pursue. If she is, I do. And if I get shot down, I move on. It’s pretty straightforward. No mind games necessary. I don’t have the time, inclination, or personality type to waste energy trying to denigrate someone who has rejected me. I generally thank them for being forthcoming in that rejection. It’s far better than them doing a slow fade in a way where it’s hard to tell whether she’s truly busy or actually trying to ghost.

I've seen a lot of men online denigrating unattractive women that write "no hookups" as if they are less likely to have unwanted sexual advances from men they just met. They think unattractive women are only flattering themselves. That can't be further from the truth.

That's not why they are being denigrated. They are being called out because when women put “no hookups” in their bio especially on a HOOKUP APP they do it so they can have plausible deniability so they can have sex with a guy they really like without being caught. Because how can you be a single mother of 5 children with all different fathers and supposedly not do hookups? It doesn't make any sense.

Sexual harassers seem to be most agressive when they think a woman is --or 'should' be--attainable to them.

That makes some men think she is easy when really, she is saving sex for her future husband.

As I read this thread, and other places where incels lurk, I'm starting to see the reasoning behind it. Men are ranting about how "Becky" won't sleep with them. They talk about how she supposedly isn't good enough for any guy she'd be interested in. They constantly disrespect her boundaries and preferences. Instead of wanting to attract her, bond with her, entice her, and win her heart, they just want to destroy her self worth so she thinks she will settle for their ugly, emotionally abusive selves. That is not ok.

Women of all attractiveness levels are human beings, and deserve to be treated as such.

No one is disagreeing with this.

It is better to be invisible than to get sexual attention from strangers. It is better to be single than to be with someone that disrespects and devalues you. My friend knows that.

Most women don't, and their actions show it.
