A while back (like 4 years ago) I worked with a construction worker on a site who has a girlfriend that he has been dating for 6 years at the time and has no desire to marry her. He also said that all his belongings such as house and car are under his parents name because he told me he doesn't wanna be broke if anything happens and she can't take his belongings since he doesn't actually own it. I felt sad for him because this so real for a lot of people after divorce and how society expects too much for us, men. It's like we are things not intelligent creatures that have souls and hearts.

What I see. A bunch of men, who a decade or so ago, could belittle and “trap” women into marriage. Berating them until they’d go out with you, lowering their self esteem so much they were trapped. Now that women are beginning to have a voice, are standing up for themselves, standing up to sexual harassment, standing against the men that have been keeping them down for centuries. You want things to go back to the “good old times”, when you could pinch her ass at work and it was a good laugh. Trap her in an office at the holiday party, and force her on the desk so you can get 2 pumps and then unload on floor, and then laugh about what a slut she is with your buddies, while intimidating her into silence. That that “voluntarily stopping dating” wasn’t really all that voluntary, that women couldn’t stand you, and told you to fuck off. Tired of constantly being rejected, you decided to take yourself off the board. Whatever gets you to sleep at night.

FYI, I am a happily married man, who is in a relationship with a wonderful woman who is my equal in all things. She makes more money than I do, and there’s not a wink of sleep lost as a result of that.
