This right here is one of the only times I'm sympathetic to a person waiting to report a sexual crime. The kid was underage, likely wasn't sure of his rights, especially since he was being assaulted by someone that was supposed to be looking out for him, and still reported it shortly after becoming aware of the impact of the crime. This is reasonable.
