It's really quite something and indicative of a larger tipping point in society.

I mean, not to sound too /x/ here, but is anyone else getting kind of concerned with how completely insane and all-consuming SJW, reddit-style liberalism is becoming? You say something like "I think women and men may have some differences in what they want out of life and love" and it's like you said "RACE WAR NOW" as far as other redditors are concerned. Saying something like "you shouldn't show emotion in front of women, they'll think less of you" is seen akin to sponsoring violence. What was once pretty much just common sense is now a beleaguered community almost universally despised on a website where you can find photos of dead children, women stripping for Internet money, and people debating the merits of copulation with canines.

I mean I get it, we do have some seedier members who post the "HURR DURR WOMEN BE BITCHES" stuff that the rest of reddit lampoons, but you get crazies in any large community. When I first joined reddit over two years ago there was a post on r/gaming about a company screwing up this guy's Jurassic Park jeep; the company rep got multiple death and rape threats (it was a she). Now that's weird. But, by and large, TRP ideology shouldn't be that offensive or even controversial: these things work with women, these things don't, you should always work to improve yourself, etc., etc.

I think we're hitting critical mass here in the West with just how much lolberals can get away with. I saw the liberal party in Sweden recently started doxxing people up for posting on a forum such as this. That's a government party behaving like SRS; that's like Orwell had writer's block and just wrote a garbage, completely over-the-top short story he knew was way too obvious.

I've mentally prepared myself to log on one day and see TRP has been banned. I suggest the rest of you do, too. I used to laugh this stuff off, but there's no denying we're living in strange times when saying something like "women are physically less strong than men" is a thoughtcrime.

Also, why didn't you stop it?

He posted a bunch of quotes of things I had said on TRP. Mostly the rest of the sub backed me, but since then I made a separate account for TRP.

I try not to go through user history on reddit. I encountered a neck beard rolling in my thread spouting shit even took pot shots at my history till I looked at his and seems like he's a frequent of r/mylittlepony and even posted a few to r/Cummingonfigurines and it the two had things in common.

Use a different account for TRP. Problem solved.

Reddit is famous for jumping on the bandwagon. Easily swayed, easily misinformed pseudo-intellectuals most of them.

They easily switch from love to hate showing a blatant lack of critical thinking or individuality. Most redditors opinions on anything are a mashed up regurgitation of what others wrote/said, with added projection and fake outrage when needed.

Original thoughts can only come from people with actual intellect and way longer attention spans. That leaves out about 80% of reddit.

Mainstream reddit also attracts lamest of the lame AFCs. You are always safe betting that redditors are either lying or appeasing the popular opinion 90% of the time - it's the idiotic karma system - teaches them to get validation for going with the grain.

Most of what you find on TRP will either shock them, make them depressed or just frustrate them - they'll get all self-righteous and preachy for their own egoboost, when most of the time, they've only read the titles, maybe 2-3 posts. That's enough to form a superficial opinion (yet feel condescending about it) in order to fit in with the rest of the sheep. This is also why when one of them tries to explain TRP, they come of as someone who didn't even read 1% of it. Also why their explanation is never abstract and objective, and always littered with jabs, insults, straw-man fallacy and attacks on the users rather than the sub itself.

Conclusion:: Never take reddit seriously. The typical user's modus operandi revolves around validation. They quickly learn to think and express themselves in the way which brings most validation, conformity. Most opinions are just an ego-jerk and should be laughed at accordingly.

People on the outside have a completely different perspective of TRP. Reading that quote you posted, it's like looking at two completely different realities about TRP.

At the end of the day, we know what TRP is about and if frustrated people like this one start to complain, you just dismiss them because they really are nothing. It shouldn't occur to you that TRP is hated anyway, you shouldn't care what others think.

If there's two rap sayings that I think have deep, philosophical truth, it's 1) ho's gon be ho's and 2) haters gon' hate. They belong alongside Aristotle's A is A, and Socrates' "The unexamined life is not worth living".

This is a case of haters gon' hate. Which is good. It is optimal for a very small % of society to understand how TRP works. It's like broke people hating other broke people who have found a way to crawl up to upper class. If they sat down and talked with that dude, he would probably have a lot of value and ideas to share with them. But doing that would be mentally hard, so instead, they complain that the once-broke guy has changed, sold out, or become some other hate-worthy monstrosity.

The crab that made it out of the bucket could help the other crabs out, but he knows if he reaches out a hand (or claw) the other crabs will do everything in their power to pull him back down to their level. This is how it is to live in a society where most men simply are "broke" when it comes to success with women. Any guy who could potentially give you a few pointers must be demonized quick, so that you don't have to feel the pain of knowing he is simply a version of you that improved himself.

I kinda understand the anger. Initially when I found the sub, only saw the highlights that people talked about, and did sound like a bunch of angry guys who couldn't get action.

I also understand how when I get angry at an idea or concept, it's usually because I have something at stake that I don't want to have to admit sucks/doesn't-work.

There will always be angry people who lash out, the internet amplifies it due to the anonymity. End of the day you just have to try to see things objectively and improve yourself.

I had something go "viral" on /r/WritingPrompts because I like to go there to stretch my creative muscles before projects, made it to /r/bestof and I think thats when out of the thousands of people who saw my post, only two looked through my comment history and tried to shame me for it. These people even got downvoted, and I was happy to see that.

But people in general (especially on reddit) are really insecure about almost anything. Why would that guy go check your comment history? Because you clearly said something that upset him so much, that he had to go find something to exploit you with. A crack in the armor. People do that, and I believe that it's a sign of weakness.

I also don't feel the need to hide something that I strongly believe is a beneficial philosophy to a man. Not to mention, I'm on this sub a lot because there are a lot of engaging conversations going on.

Places like /r/pics or /r/funny don't really drive me to comment as much as /r/TheRedPill or say /r/whowouldwin

The most bizarre thing about it was that the only posts I'd made on /r/theredpill recently at that time were reacting NEGATIVELY to things that had been posted. But that didn't matter. He'd found his "out". I was now a racist and misogynist, and this meant everybody who shared my opinion on this completely unrelated issue was also a misogynist and a racist and so the opinion was not even worth listening to. People's ability to delude themselves to hang on to beliefs that have just been demonstrated to be fallacious is extraordinary. They'll make any excuse to not deal with hard truths.

Two things about Reddit, both of which should be painfully obvious:

1) Reddit is full of eager, crowd-pleasing computer users, desperate for validation from strangers on the internet. That's where the whole points/karma system comes into play. If you post something targeted to your readers, that you know they agree with, they'll give you points, so content contributors are heavily encouraged to write things they know that other people will approve of and agree with.

Since most people agree that women are special, valuable prizes, worthy of special consideration, attention, and treatment just for being female, and most people agree that if you go out there, act "normal," and don't do anything special to increase your value, you'll eventually end up with a girlfriend, it's a popular conclusion that TRP is just a bunch of women-haters who can't get girls. Post something along those lines, and strangers on the internet will validate you with points so you can feel good about yourself.

2) I read this somewhere from someone and can't remember where, so I can't give the original guy credit, but the majority of Reddit is satire, comic relief, stupid-ass pictures of things, self-help and validation circle-jerks, and other non-serious content. Any sub that tries to take itself seriously, promote an "important, serious" message, and claim to actually be about or able to affect the world gets laughed at by the rest of reddit and targeted.
