What horseshit, I took my 2 yr old to the zoo last weekend for his birthday and not a single men’s room had a changing table... I ended up having to change him on park benches throughout the day. Single dads are constantly vilified for “not even trying” but then when they do they’re faced with shit like this every time they go out.

don't know about you, but at my old workplace, with their severe lack of bathrooms, I would use the women's bathroom if I had to... seeing as the bathrooms were all single-stall rooms with exactly one sink and one toilet.

At my college there is like 3 womens restrooms for every 1 mens room.

California now has a law that all single commode restrooms must be unisex.

I work maintenance for a company with 117 locations in this big city. California building code says there must be an equal number of commode for each sex. Exception is where the commodes in a single room may be reduced by no more than half if replaced with a urinal.

So a two commode women's room has two commodes and the men's room can be one commode and one urinal. If it were 3 then the men's room could only have one urinal and so on.

The new law has caused a huge issue. The single commode plus urinal men's rooms are single commode unisex now. That leaves an over balance of commodes for women. Some of our buildings that is all they have. This leads us to a problem of removing a toilet from the women's room to make it unisex, or try to install a second commode in the men's room. Removing a commode makes often makes us fall into an unsanitary condition with not having enough places to poop. My favorite solution is to make the women's room unisex as well, as no law prevents having a two commode unisex room.

This California law is over a year old and my company hasn't figured out exactly what to do. I say make the stall dividers go floor to ceiling, unisex it up.

This reminds me of my workplace, which has 2 men's washrooms, 2 women's washrooms and a family one. There are a total of 9 toilets between the women's washrooms, and 2 toilets plus 4 urinals for the men, while the family washrooms has one toilet. This means that at any given time it is possible for 10 women to relieve themselves. At most, only 7 men can piss at a time and only 3 can crap at a time. These washrooms get a lot of traffic and men can often be seen waiting for their turn, but I've never seen a line for the women's.

I guess it's kind of petty but its frustrating to see coworkers being favored, no matter the case.

And while I'm at it, can we make it typical to have urinal dividers as tall as the ones stalls have? It's weird that it's socially acceptable that I have to piss while I can hear and feel the warmth of some guy breathing heavily next to me not 2 feet from my face while I have my dick out. Imagine the stink women would put up if their workplace installed toilet stall partitions than only covered you up to your neck. "Just stare ahead."

I am so lucky that my workplace has unisex bathrooms at certain locations. Being a heavily male dominated office, and I am no exception, the male bathrooms are always crowded as fuck, but most of those manly men are too afraid to use the unisex bathrooms, meaning a free ticket for me.

And since I am a janitor and clean the bathrooms I frequent, I know damn well they are clean, unlike most male bathrooms I have ever encountered.

That's fucked up, but maybe it was a mistake? Like maybe it was originally a women's restroom sign and they just added on the handicap symbol and put "family"? But still, if they did that they could probably add a man... I think it does show that people think less of the fathers in families

That’s so weird because every time I see one of those signs, it has a man, a woman, a wheelchair, and a baby on it too lol. But it’s been that way forever. Like, since I was a kid I remember those signs being like that. All this feminism rampaging has caused people to discard men.
