I (M33) can’t thank this sub enough. A year and half ago I received some blunt advice from y’all and it’s really helped me recover from a 6-yr relationship.

I waited 1yr after separation/divorce to start dating again. Had plenty of time to think about the type of person I can spend the rest of my life with.

Dated only 3 women (had fun casual relations with a few more) but gravitated toward the last one. We’ve been dating since Feb/Mar of this year.

She’s (F30) incredible:

  • pretty, kindest and sweetest woman
  • really intelligent (Engineering background) and equally humble
  • great supportive friends whom I like more and more
  • comes from a “stable” family (no divorce, parents still travel the world together)
  • big foodie and creative
  • respects that I need to move slow and in return I give her the reassurances she needs — been going well

Nagging thoughts:

  • body isn’t the most amazing (chubby, not fat)
  • we have sex regularly and it’s good/not amazing
  • I feel my eyes wandering more and more to fitter women Ive dated in the past

I’m worried my sexual desire will lead me away from an amazing person with high long-term potential. For now, I’m focused on getting active with her and trying to fully appreciate her body and focus on the long-term because I really am happy with her and she’s 100% wifey material
