Im a product of this situation. All i can say is now that im older i see the situation through my dads eyes and a shit load of respect for him has come from it. My stepdad is an amazing father figure too and he never “competed” to be my “dad”. Your kids will eventually see your worth and gain a real understanding that you are their father. Chin up brother.

I really have to ask myself even if I was dating him six months or less how I knew if he was actually rich or he just alluded to being that way so many people out there right now nice homes eat dinners at lavish venues fancy cars … I would be very careful and keep your emotions in check especially with the kids if they’re involved My ex after probably three months came out and told me what his financial portfolio look like and he’s not worth funny. I introduced him to my kids probably around the four or 5 1/2 month mark he did great with them got along great the issues he and I had I mean at the end of the day they’re gonna affect me, but having that money and holding carrots over the kids heads about Disney trips or mini trips to a fun adventure, museum, whatever. Not too many men out there I can count on both hands who continue to use the financial power over and over again.

Usually by this point most of their moneys, gone or allocated elsewhere, or they’re coming from your past haunt you because because they need to pawn those pretty little gifts in the beginning to pay for their ex wives credit card bills just saying!!
