This is one of those “jokes” where you need to know the person. It’s not a casual drop thing. My best friends and I tease each other about who’s an old woman (we’re all like a month apart in age, but also we’re never insecure about this stuff so it’s okay among us). I have a coworker whose mom would pit her and her sisters against each other though: who’s thinnest, prettiest, looks her age or younger. I would never even hint at an age joke with her because it would devastate her. You need to know your audience.
