About 90% of so many reddit subs, as well as so much of real life too, is just so full of underachieving men who think that they are above average at things they know almost nothing about!? They have been so coddled their whole lives than they think they deserve praise and attention for being worse than me at things that are my expertise.

I was a smart kid and it was really aggravating to the boys in my grade. They were so mad they couldn't score better than me on tests. Oh well!

I am a professional pianist (I have an MM and I play piano at all of my side jobs) and I have experienced the following things on the piano reddit, and on Facebook groups, to the extent that I stopped participating:

-men who can't play very well sharing videos of themselves butchering something above their level and expecting praise

-men asking how they can become a pro concert pianist when they will never be good enough and it's not a real job anymore, and not listening when other people tell them they are not special

-men responding to me giving them free advice on their technique by saying "thanks man" and "thanks dude" I'm a fucking woman. Just because I know what I'm talking about doesn't mean I'm a man.

-men bragging about how far they can stretch their hand on a piano, doesn't matter, I'm still better than you.

The majority of piano teachers are underpaid women. I went to school with mostly women. Men are encouraged to go further in the field as it is. These amateur and beginner adult men waltzing on into the piano world who think they own it and know what they are doing and are going to be such a success...get. over. Yourself.

Would anyone else like to share your professional experiences and experiences in your hobbies dealing with men who want to patronize you when you are the actual expert? I don't know how I can survive another 50 years on this earth dealing with these people.
