One thing I’ll never get about women that do this though, and I say this because I have NEVER done this to my friends in my past relationship, nobody makes women date these men. That’s where the self awareness kicks in. Yeah there are a lot of POS men out there…..but as one of the FDS moderators said in a comment a long long time ago nobody is making us date these men. I made a lot of plans centering my ex — a non profit organization with him which was actually my dream since before even meeting him — he left but I'm going ahead with the plans anyway (non profit started and in work). It was a huge effort because it was easier to give up and let my world built around him crumble in his absence.

So, I think if we are able to accommodate a man into our life which will go on regardless of their presence or absence, that is great. I also think that our world/life not being a dependent variable of their words and actions is the best we can do for ourselves as individuals.
