This may be controversial, but I avoid dating men raised by single mothers. When I say single mothers I do not mean men with divorced parents that still maintain a relationship with their father. I mean men whose parents never married and especially men who don't know their father or he wasn't active in their life at all. I won't tell you what to do with your life but I will suggest that you proceed with caution.
First off they are typically overly coddled mama's boys. Many have no idea how to be a assertive or take initiative in situations. They often believe in 50/50 strong, independent woman because they saw their mother doing everything alone. Most of them have no idea how to be a protector and a provider. It's a huge turn off and can even be dangerous for women during vulnerable times (pregnancy, childbirth, and just day to day life because most women need to feel safe and protected to thrive in a relationship)
This is not demonizing all single mothers (being the parent who stayed and all) but a woman cannot teach a man to be a man. Not because we are inferior or anything, but just because men are not going to follow their mothers if they have no consistent male guidance. They watch and follow other mens' examples. Men raised without a father typically are at a huge deficit.
I am aware that fatherless households affect girls and women as well...especially when it comes to self esteem and the behavior they tolerate from men. The difference between them and men rasied by single mothers is women tend to be more open to healing, therapy, self improvement, etc...Men are usually not and so you may want to avoid dealing with that. Also women usually internalize these negative experiences, while men take it out on other people. I don't want to be a target of their misplaced frustration.
I know that there are men raised with fathers in the home who are LVM (their father was abusive, neglectful, or just low value) but I'd rather take my chances with that group after vetting them heavily, of course..so many of them will be eliminated as well. Whether their fathers were high value or not, if he was in the home, they still tend to operate differently because they saw someone day in and day out, show up for their family, take care of/support their mother to some extent, or at least teach them basic skills or things about being a man. I can usually tell which men grew up without a father after observing them for a few minutes.
Usually I don't have to explicitly eliminate them for that either, because there is some more obvious reason why I have to break it off.
Yes some men have other male role models in their life, but they're usually not around enough to truly replace a father. Exceptions can possibly be made for men who had an active stepfather who raised him since he was very young...but sometimes even just knowing their biological father abandoned them can mess them up for life.
There is usually something missing there and they're going to make you pay for it.

Agreed. It can also be extended to men who grew up in a household where the mother and father both had to work, and went 50/50 on everything.
The men I dated who only knew this dynamic always expected me to pay half for everything, even if they made way more than me.
We would talk about finances and they’d always make me feel like a gold-digger. I am not, I can take care of myself, I don’t need anyone to help me financially. It’s what I grew up with so I think it’s natural that a man protects and provides.
On the other hand, the men who’s dad took care of all the expenses, and who’s mom got to keep her money, were generous and even were a little bit insulted when I offered (back in my pick me days) to pay.
Edit: typo
