Where are people preordering her book from? I want to support her. She seems pretty rational; her thesis is that women should be allowed to hate men as a class because of the violent oppression they’ve perpetuated historically and in present day. I think it’s progressive to think of men as a specific class of people just like women are. No where does she say she wants all men to die or even that she hates men individually but her critics still act like she’s the antichrist. She’s also bisexual and married to a man.

They spent decades celebrating, funding, publishing and promoting a self-proclaimed pedophile - as in, he writes in his journals published by one of the big houses in Paris how delicious it is to sodomize an 8 years old Filipino boy (NYT), and it took one of his victims to write about her trauma for the so called cultural elite to cancel him at the ripe age of 80.

I wouldn't have noticed her book without this polemic, but I will buy out of spite.

Anyone else noticing comments from male lurkers that promptly get deleted, about her looks? One even messaged me about that. Is that really the best you can do? Trying to undermine a woman's statement not with arguments against it, but by attacking her subjective attractiveness? Not like I'm surprised, but it baffles me how often men believe that they can refute any claim made by a woman by stating that you find her unattractive.

Besides, why are we pretending that she's some kind of a hideous troll? Sure, she might not be classic beautiful (not like it matters, just while we're at it), but it's not like she's unattractive. How bizarre, that men will come and offer more reasons for us to hate them, in a discussion about a book that explains why men get hate.
