You bring up a point that's been bugging me. When a woman collabs with a male rapper on her song for whatever reasons and he ruins the song with some unnecessarily dirty lyrics. And some random annoying interjections here and there in the song. The song would have been fine without some dude named 'bust-a-balls' singing about degrading women. But I know they Collab sometimes to promote their music so it might not be an option to go without it. Their songs are amazing without the misogynistic rap break.

This post is giving me flashbacks. Had a guy tell me this last year. He said he had a new girlfriend and I said oh cool what's she like? He said, "She can keep up with me."

I said uh, what else? He said, "She'd move abroad for me."

Uh...

The relationship is a codependent dumpster fire. They just published engagement photos the other week: it's him in a power pose with her literally hiding behind him. He was saying in the comments that she's clearly in awe because she knows he's a catch.

Men who turn your interests into a competition are also abhorrent. I had a couple guys who saw that I liked a certain band on my OLD profile, and it would somehow turn into a fan-off: “which of their albums was the best?” “Yeah, but did you like them before they became mainstream?” Instead of inquiring to form a connection, to better understand someone, they turn it into some kind of competition. Huge red flag and such a turn off for me.

In my early 20s I moved to another country with my ex. We stayed for a year then he wanted to come home so we did. Then he wanted to move cities so we did. Then he wanted to move to a different country. I said why is it his decision where we live, why don't I get to decide. He said women are supposed to follow men. He gave me an example of his current CEO who moved around the world and his wife went with him. I said I'm not his wife I'm his girlfriend and his CEO probably actually supports his wife financially and doesn't treat her like a traveling maid.

Anyway, we broke up, he found a new gf in our city and moved her to that other country.

Even in the best case scenario- i.e. “I’m active and I challenge myself physically and would like to be with someone who will do those activities along side me” (which is what I want), “keep up” is a really arrogant way to put things. No one can likely 100% keep up with someone else- someone is going to be the better yogi, someone is going to be more proactive when it comes to travel plans/social plan coordination, someone is more efficient in the kitchen, etc. etc., the point is you both fucking try, and journey together, with respect for respective skill sets.

I can’t stand the conceit of how the only things that matter are his interests and his skill sets.

Oh and if this is sexual innuendo? Yeah, I have a woman’s body, the person that’s going to have more legwork to do in terms of figuring out the orgasm is you, sir.
