I really hoped this was going the other direction. Sunk cost fallacy for sure. It’s essentially, “I let my husband use me while he looks at other women.” Notice she didn’t say anything about his performance improving for her benefit, or her pleasure increasing.

Also her language.. “it’s unrealistic, unobtainable, and honestly cruel.” Like yeah, it’s totally cruel to expect your partner to respect your boundaries about not watching porn. This poor man. How can he ever live up to such an unrealistic standard! 🙄

This is so wrong that she is disseminating such misinformation. What really bothers me is when people speak like this with authority or use medical jargon/ vernacular to justify their ridiculous methodology. It’s quasi science she is making up (fact free) to not feel horrible about how much she is allowing herself to be degraded!
I’m beyond grateful that even though it didn’t work out with my long term relationships with a few men our sex life wasn’t an issue. No one trying to choke or hurt me or do something would compromise my comfort and pleasure. I’m so sad for all of the women that are having to deal with this😭😭😭

Also, none of these men were into porn and they all had intact relationships with their mothers. They were turned off by violence generally.

I’m going to have to limit how much I read about the normalization of sexual violence (that is what this is!) because it seriously depresses me to think that the proportion is higher than I would have expected.

I divorced my ex over it and never looked back. Poor girl I hope she actually takes the time to watch it, study it, understand it. How it changes a man’s brain. How the grey matter in their brain literally changes to make them more like dumb animals. She has no idea the extension of what is ahead if she continues .... for me, I was against it so he went outside the marriage.
