IME women come far closer to loving men for who they really are than vice versa, especially since many more women than men have a default level of care/sympathy they exhibit toward almost everyone by default. (I believe this is called "human decency" or "empathy" lolol.)

What men call "love" is 9/10 times attachment to and possessiveness over a woman as a domestic/psychological/reproductive and most of all sexual appliance. They are only able to tell themselves they love us for "who/what we are" because they literally do not SEE us as having any being or existence or purpose beyond our sexual usefulness to them. I've had a number of men claim to love me who simply did not have the first clue who I actually was, because they refused to see it/ignored it when I tried to show them.

They also mistake achievement and pro-social usefulness as being superficial/extraneous to who a person is, when in reality the parts of yourself you have to work toward maintaining and achieving and the parts of yourself you extend to others to support them are every bit as much a part of who you ultimately are as things you develop organically/without obvious effort (like sex appeal and fertility) are, if not IMO moreso.

Women tend to love men for the balance of the characteristics they have - that includes how you bring value to the lives of those around you, of course, but also things like having an intriguing mental and emotional nature, sex appeal, etc. - it's holistic.

Men "love" women based almost entirely on our use value to them in a highly limited arena (sex and reproduction). And that is not a good thing. It cuts us off from our holistic value to society... it's extremely dehumanizing. (Men who tout lines like this often end up comparing women to pets/dogs when describing how they care for us and that is not a mistake.)

Like, have you ever seen the way men treat women they have no use for sexually or reproductively? The idea that their concern for us isn't contingent on our use value in their eyes is a fucking riot.
