My ex used to open car doors for me and it was so everybody could see how “well” he treated me. And then at home he would manipulate and gaslight me.

This! My dad has never once let me help put groceries even in pouring rain! Not me, my mom, or my sisters. Him and my brothers do it. Things like this start at home it shows how a man raised well will only be comfortable knowing you’re comfortable

That doesnt work for me. For some reason if I see someone putting in groceries and cleaning, I need to help to. My brain is screaming at me "HELP THEM". Doesnt matter what gender the person is, I just have a need to help people when they are doing something.
