I agree the "understandably furious" comment was heartbreaking. Who would get mad at someone for having to use a restroom?? How do women get to the point of being so broken emotionally that they are ok with that? He has her thinking that she ruined the hike when in fact, he did.

There were just so many red flags in that post!

She thinks she has to learn to love his outdoorsy lifestyle since she wants to marry him.

He pushed her to drink water to the point of throwing up.

He ignored her multiple times when she said she had to use a restroom.

She asked him to stand guard while she peed, he refused. Even when an old couple came by, he didn't protect her from being exposed.

That crappy 3 mile hike was his anniversary present to HER.

And now he wants her to feel bad for ruining this hiking trail. Not that day's hike. The whole dang TRAIL.

And later on in the comments we find out he doesn't give her orgasms.

Why would any woman want to be with a guy like this?

It's just so sad.

Your intensity is warranted. In her other comments below that post she mentioned that the only sex act they engage in is her going down on him. Going down on her is “not something he does,” she says this explicitly.

Agree with the other comment that says she’s too deep in the abuse cycle to see anything clearly. This scenario happened and she still posted on Reddit prefacing the story with “this is the guy I can see myself marrying.” The hardest posts to read are the ones where you know it’s likely going to be years before the woman wakes up, if ever.

Who tf is pissed over that?? If you’re an outdoorsy person you know that we have to pee outside ALL THE TIME. Not to mention men do it everywhere, not just trails. I had a weird guy I was seeing go pee at night near a TUNNEL. I thought it was gross but didn’t say anything. And he has the literal audacity to be mad over that?? I’m also sick of making excuses for women WHO MAKE EXCUSES FOR MEN AND SAY SHIT LIKE “understandably so”. They’re part of the problem. We ALL have to hold men responsible for their shitty behavior, and as long as there’s pickmes out there who let them get away with so many things, things will never change because instead of being rightfully lonely, they’ll just be with the comforting pickme’s instead.

It's very sad. Women are socialized to accept the most abhorrent dehumanizing behavior from men. Luckily FDS is out there doing God's work. It wasn't until I joined FDS in my 30s (better late than never) that I fully appreciated what it meant to expect respect. I no longer tolerate these poor excuses for men.

What’s with men specifically acting weird about women’s bladder needs? Why is it such a thing to deny women access to the bathroom?

Like, I even remember my dad always trying to avoid rest stops on road trip. “Can’t you hold it?”

Most men do it, or at least get an attitude about it regularly.

I’ve never even had children and any decent amount of walking or physical activity usually makes me have to pee!

One piece of this is the suppression of women and their bodily functions. Needing to pee is a very natural act for any human and yet he's furious about it? That is the true embodiment of not being accepted for who you are. I hope she leaves him because it is a cold and unreasonable response.
