A few articles. But really it’s logic, nowadays women are still expected to do majority of the housework and childcare even in relationships where both partners work equal hours. It tires them out. Never will I let a man’s spawn grow in me.

I wonder how this compares to the life expectancy in gay and lesbian couples.

A lot of upvotes for this but there isn’t a lot of hard numbers for it. It is often based on surveys based on happiness rather than longevity. Some popular books on single women being the happiest https://www.amazon.com/Happy-Ever-After-Escaping-Perfect/dp/0241284449?tag=nypost-20 & https://www.amazon.com/Singled-Out-Stereotyped-Stigmatized-ebook/dp/B005NJYM6G/?tag=wwwbelladepau-20
PEW Research has a few studies where the happiest segment are single, never married women. They also have less desire to marry as they age while men want relationships as they age.
Research still backs married women do live longer. It isn’t a large margin/difference. However single Women fare much better than men who are single after middle age. A few studies:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7452000/
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/living-single/201701/is-it-true-single-women-and-married-men-do-best

I bet if you really dived into he numbers, single never married women without kids and higher income would have longer lifespans. I think many of studies are done on older people who mostly married. Now we are in an era when also ot half of the population is single. Studies on singles 20 years from now is going to much different than he outliers now of the Boomers. There simply isn’t that many never marrieds in the older generations to research.

I honestly feel like I’ve unlocked some hidden knowledge... that I can just skip the game, that I don’t have to sacrifice myself to be some mans therapist and fuck doll! It’s great!

Women used to say they have two lives: before marriage and after husband dies.
Now we can choose to cut out the life sucker and live our lives fully :)

I live in an area that has a large amount of boomers and older. When a client passes, I need to know about it for how I handle our files. Far too often men come in, or call, and I've had to show them how to do the following : - how to write a cheque - how to get their banking info - explain how direct withdrawal works They're always like "she dealt with all of this". They haven't a clue how to function independently in society. The women are always fine though but if they don't know how to do something, they come to me and ask me kindly for assistance and they always say "sorry, I know I should know this...". The men often get angry, begin to sputter, shake, get red in the face because I'm "talking too fast" or (insert another personal attack here), something like that. They lack any all patience for me helping them out. But yes, we are the emotional sex...

It's pure protection. I'll say it again, I've never met a man who genuinely was happy to be single and celibate. Maybe a monk or spiritually ascended men, which there are a handful of on Earth.

The Ys are always projecting. It’s kind of ridiculous. I was talking about being chronically ill to a man I was vetting (that turned out to be insecure as fuck as a baseline and therefore unsuitable) ask me whether I wanted to keep dealing with it on my own..... like, I’m not alone?? I have an amazing and expansive support network of amazing people in my life. Just because I don’t have some manchild Scrote hanging off my breast, doesn’t mean I’m in any way lonely, or unsupported 🤔
It told me a lot about how he lives his life and the strength of his friendships—or lack thereof. It was another red flag that at his age he doesn’t seem to have anyone to rely on is he’s gonna assume the same of me. Really quite sad for him, but talk about dodging a bullet. If a man is in his 30s, complaining about being alone and have no close relationships and ties..... that’s A through to Z on that one and it’s time to run.

Ugh story of my life, and also SO important for young women to be told straight up.
MONEY👏🏻MATTERS👏🏻 In this perverse world, where you are forever doomed to a life of unwanted objectification and the expectation of sexually pleasing a guy who doesn't even appreciate your other qualities, money will set you free. Money will allow you to follow your dreams and set the bar as high as you fucking want.

Sign me up! Il go to Costco and get a crap tonne of antihistamines for my cat allergy but it will be worth it.
I just recently found out I have pretty bad cat allergies and am willing to go through the desensitization process for my fur baby. I theoretically have a severe scrote allergy and have given up ALL men at this point. I ain't taking no chances! 😂

I'm an ex dummy in recovery. Made the mistake of getting married, ex husband became a violent alcoholic...
Now, I recommend being and staying single to every woman I know. I just LOVE the freedom, the safety, the time I have to invest in different friendships and relationships, the lack of stress keeps on shocking me to my core, the much higher quality of sleep keeps on improving my health...

"the lack of stress keeps on shocking me to my core"
YES! It still amazes me how easy it is to live alone and only worry about myself. It's such a breeze
And a hearty yes to sleeping alone and getting good rest instead of listening to a broken accordion snore

Men know they have nothing to offer and instead of becoming a person that others would enjoy being around, it's easier to use threats, physical violence and to blame the person they desire so greatly. Men have no logic.

First off, I wholeheartedly agree that women are happier single than married to LVM, which most men are!! This is why I am HAPPY with the likelihood of 'dying alone' lol
However, in my experience, both (married) women and men in the workplace are averse to unmarried female bosses. Averse to the point of not doing their jobs, not following 'orders,' being disrespectful af to said female boss during meetings etc. They just think unmarried women are LVW or NVW..... I've seen this happening to my own female bosses. I should say I work in a mostly but not entirely Desi workplace and I am South Asian myself. It's impractical to fire the majority of workers just for disrespect, SO, how can unmarried female bosses combat this issue in the workplace? Anyone have any ideas?
This is something I think about because I am 100% a 'career woman,' am not going to settle for marrying a LVM, and the only HVM I know are already partnered. SO, the more authority I'll have at work one day, the more I'll need work to get done, even if it's by a bunch of misogynists. So I need female workplace strategies :D
[–]paddlesandchalkFDS Newbie 20 points21 points22 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don’t have anything to combat the root of the problem for you..but maybe get yourself your own ring to wear at work and give off the vibe off a boss who doesn’t share much about their personal life.
