At some point she's going to get doxxed herself and with a complete lack of self awareness will cry about being harassed. I'm calling it now. I can't wait to see that article.

she's a prof at a highly ranked school that makes all of her info readily available on a faculty profile... it's only a matter of time.

[+]squarefilms points 9 years ago [recovered] (45 children) | Copy Link

No. "It's only a mattered of time" is crowd mentality.

Ever taken a CPR or first responder class? You point to someone and say "YOU! Call 911" because if you don't, everyone stands around expecting someone else will do it.

Which is exactly what you're doing - and everyone here is doing - by leaving it up to someone else to contact her employer.

PLEASE, upvote this comment:

Email her employer complaining about her violations of the school rules. Then a comment here stating that you did, or even better, post a copy of what you wrote.

Are you going to sit around and enable her to continue? Or are you going to email right now?

I'm going to go email them a link to the story and say that they need to enforce their rules.

[–]ThanosisKing 130 points131 points132 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Here's my note to the senior advisor to the President of Georgetown. Closest to the actual President that I could find:

I am writing this to you because I thought you would be the best person to deal with this issue. It has recently been revealed that a professor under your employ, one C Christine Fair with the Edmund A Walsh School of Foreign Service, has been engaging in a targeted harassment campaign towards people, mainly men, with whom she disagrees politically. She has been releasing personal information on these men, including their personal phone numbers, e-mail addresses, places of employment, and personal photos. All of this is done in an effort to intimidate and harass these men into silence.

I have taken a look at your school handbook and faculty guidelines, and it states explicitly that this behavior is not allowed at your school. Specifically, the Code of Ethical Conduct of 2015 says that harassment on the basis of political beliefs violates the Code of Conduct. If political views are to be shared they must be done in a way that is mutually respectful and doesn't involve hatred. Also, your faculty handbook prohibits harassment on the basis of political affiliation, and it also says that harassment can extend to online communication, including communication intended to intimidate and harass. A link to to the story detailing all of what I have mentioned can be found here: http://www.mrctv.org/blog/distinguished-georgetown-prof-spreads-personal-info-political-opponents-intimidate-them

I would ask you, with all due respect, to please take a look at these rules and ask that all of your professors behave in a way that keeps in line with the rules set forth by the Code of Conduct and the faculty handbook. The sharing of personal information for the purpose of harassment and intimidation breaks your rules. Please show the country that your school lives up to its reputation as a fair and equitable school that has no room for harassment of any type.

Thank you very much for listening

[–]wmdailey 49 points50 points51 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Not to mention that doxxing is illegal... She's literally documenting on the internet her illegal behavior. It's like an average day on /r/legaladvice, which is not a good thing.

[–]wmdailey 14 points15 points16 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Va. Code Ann. § 18.2-60.3 - It probably wouldn't be prosecuted, but her intent is patently malicious.

Va. Code Ann. § 18.2-60.3

Care to elaborate on what part of the provision you believe is relevant/applicable?

[–]MaybeItsJustMike 11 points12 points13 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thank you for being "the one that called 911" as it were. Please post a reply asap if you receive one. I for one would like to know how this turns out.

Seconded.

[–]Lucius_Martius 91 points92 points93 points 9 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

You know, in most cases I would disagree with that "email her employer" shit, but in this case the person it's about is inciting harassment or even violence. This should not be appropriate behavior for someone teaching young adults.

Low probability of anything positive resulting from that...

Lower than the chance of a complaint to Comcast leading to better service...

The odds of the university not giving a shit though - I'd say they're high, higher than giraffe pussy.

[–]bufedad 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'd bet we could get some traction with a title ix complaint.

Why would any male feel like this school would give them an equal education, or treat them equally? This is an environment where they don't feel they'll be treated equally based on gender. Seems realistic to me.

[–]ISOanexplanation 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I wonder what ever happened to that professor/organizer at the UMiz mess who was calling for "some muscle" to get that photojournalist out of their public-space protest zone. Didn't she get fired and then immediately get rehired elsewhere? Can't remember her name but she looked like that "comedian" Carrot-top.

[+]pimpckilledtupac points 9 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Melissa Click. She was hired by Gonzaga in OR.

[–]ISOanexplanation 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks! And yeah, immediate rehire like I thought. I suppose the biggest impact on her was having to relocate to Gonzaga, which is in Spokane, WA unless they have a satellite campus in Oregon. I was thinking she'd probably be in SJW heaven if it was Portland but Spokane sounds like more of a side-grade from Columbia, Missouri. Probably about the same ratio of MAGA/Trump swag rolling around to increase her ire.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which is exactly what you're doing - and everyone here is doing - by leaving it up to someone else to contact her employer.

not sure you understand what's going on here... i made it obvious as fuck what to do without directly doxxing her. her employer doxxes her. now you go do your job.

[–]slazer2au 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ever taken a CPR or first responder class? You point to someone and say "YOU! Call 911" because if you don't, everyone stands around expecting someone else will do it.

Can confirm. If you have the thought of someone else will deal with it, everyone else had that thought. "Tragedy of the commons" I think is the phrase.

Also, if you haven't taken a CPR/first aid course, do it. They are actually quite fun.

[+]BullsLawDan -10 points-9 points-8 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Email her employer

Nah. She's a troll and a bellend. But it's not up to me to instigate a witch hunt to get her livelihood taken away. She can say whatever she wants as far as I'm concerned. The best remedy for bad speech is better speech.

[–]bufedad 8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

She can continue working to take people's livelihood away, but we shouldn't stop her?

[–]BullsLawDan -5 points-4 points-3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

She can continue working to take people's livelihood away, but we shouldn't stop her?

Correct.

Why should we stoop to her level? When did this sub get to hypocrisy?

[–]bufedad -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

When did this sub get to this level of apathy that we refused to take action when people's lives are being destroyed?

[–]BullsLawDan -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So your response is to destroy more lives?

[–]bufedad -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Of course, you're right. Why should we put people in jail for murder. Sure it would prevent further murders, but that's just destroying more lives.

[–]BullsLawDan -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Of course, you're right. Why should we put people in jail for murder. Sure it would prevent further murders, but that's just destroying more lives.

I know you think you're really getting me here, with your ridiculous strawman, but actually you're proving my point.

The problem is you're using the wrong analogy. The closer analogy would be to the death penalty for murdering someone (identical penalty to the crime committed).

We know that executing people for murder doesn't provide general deterrent in any sizable amount. People don't respond to seriousness of punishment, they respond much more to likelihood of punishment regardless of seriousness.

So thanks for illuminating a perfect example of why you're wrong.

[–]telios87 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

As the blue-haired screechers are so fond of saying: free speech doesn't immunize you from its consequences. The woman's a menace, and isn't fit for society, much less being involved in education.

[–]BullsLawDan -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

As the blue-haired screechers are so fond of saying:

So as I said to someone else: We're hypocrits who stoop to their level now?

A lot of these professors uses pseudonyms. I had an anarcho-communist poly-sci professor who almost certainly had connections with Anti-Fa that admitted to the class to be using one.

[–]Decyde 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Had a biology professor who posted every students name and phone numbers online.

He encouraged people to call each other in the event you needed help with anything class related.

There was this very attractive girl name Amber who lodged a complaint against the dean because people were calling her like every night.

He had tenure so didn't really care about what the students thought of him doing that until the year I graduated when people posted his phone number and his wife's phone number online on some biology help forums.

Needless to say, this "bot" that's being developed is going to completely ignore offensive things when someone like her says them and will only target retribution due to her actions.

[–]Nowin 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn't say they're pure evil, but I'd agree that they're self-righteous.

Wait a second. Can't we demand to programm that bot as well? You know because there should be a 50/50 split of sexes programming that bot. Which would lead to the bot being great (not working at all/ removing both sides)

Well we already have her photograph and full name, position and what university she's at, they are fucking retards. It's like these antifa shit heads we've been seeing who keep trying to beat people up, eventually the internet get's to work and they're found within the week, sometimes even within the day.

They are always, always spoiled, middle/upper class university students who are either total losers, obese, or both and there are often university professors like this one hanging out amongst them.

Even if they may not admit it there does seem to be a genuine hierarchy here, I have a feeling that the university professors are most likely the organisers and the recruiters and then you have the professional high profile activists that go out and spread their message to help with recruitment efforts.

[+]squarefilms points 9 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, we do have all that, and nobody is doing shit. Have you written to her employer?

[–]originalSpacePirate 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you can find an email at Georgetown University to send a letter to i'm all ears. Their site is ridiculously intuitive and very unhelpful.

[–]Prof_Acorn 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

university professors are most likely the organisers and the recruiters...

Professors? As in plural? Ehhhh. I'm voting no.

Maybe profs sign the forms and petitions when the activist students come in wanting to change something because the teens want to feel like they're doing something more than busy work and exams. But actually organizing? Ain't nobody got time for that.

Source: Do you know how much work goes into earning tenure? And the fuck ton number of emails we have to respond to every day? And the boring ass committees? Maybe that's why she got a distinguished professor award for starting a blog. Because she had time to start a blog.

Edit: I'm not defending the person the OP is about. Just the idea of professors, plural, leading some kind of cabal of protests.

[–]Lethn 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't get me wrong, there are professors like Jordan Peterson who are extremely exceptional, but even he recognises exactly where these fuckers come from and who they are. You think that these radical anti-capitalists just randomly fell from the sky? It's a serious problem where you have even school teachers trying to peddle their bullshit and I'm convinced they're the primary source for all these problems and they abuse their positions on purpose.

Who do you think are the ones that oppose Jordan Peterson in the first place? There's been plenty of research on this subject so I can give you it if you don't believe me. What's nice is we now have professional psychologists backing us up when we point this shit out because Gad Saad is an evolutionary psychologist and talks about the exact same things.

I just find it amusing that you seem to think that purely because of their positions they couldn't possible be largely involved in all of this. The reality however is very different and they seem to be the number one culprits in spreading this crap because it's not just 14 year old tumblr idiots it's people who should otherwise be highly educated and intelligent being turned into complete morons.

Source: Do you know how much work goes into earning tenure? And the fuck ton number of emails we have to respond to every day? And the boring ass committees? Maybe that's why she got a distinguished professor award for starting a blog. Because she had time to start a blog.

Do you know how much research I've done in the past two years on this subject and how much I've studied these people? Another person I can point towards is Christina Hoff Sommers who is an excellent example of another professor who has spotted all of this nonsense.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk-O5lGrat0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RNaspc5Ep4&t=293s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJSJcPKA1Ug&t=234s

Your attitude is the same as assuming that because somebody has a PHD they must always be right about something. If you really are a tenured professor I would seriously suggest trying to talk about any of these subjects if you're in a western country that are forbidden by social justice professors, you will quickly find out exactly what everybody else has been going through.

[–]NovaeDeArx 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dunno why you're getting downvoted. My wife's in a PhD program, and you've pretty much described every tenure-track professor we've ever met. Their lives are research and teaching, and then drinking to forget.

Now, associate professors on the other hand... Those have as many opinions as they do time on their hands.

This is the email I typed up.

"Hi, I just read about your and your blog. You're coming across as a very hateful person. You set a bad example for all, but especially your students who should look up to you. I sincerely hope you get help for your anger and can take a step back and see how this is making you look.

Now that your blog is going viral I really do hope your employer doesn't react to all the emails asking for you to be removed from your position. I think if you make a sincere apology, seek counseling, and promise to never bully another individual online or off, I think you should be given the opportunity to keep your job.

Good luck,

Your friend"

I mean how long until this subreddit could narrow it down alone? (Don't...don't do that.)

Not to mention it has a fucking picture of her face.

[–]originalSpacePirate 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No, please do that. We shouldn't just quietly sit and fume on reddit. Email her employer and make her activities online known. Otherwise she'll keep doing this. Not to mention she's a professor at a university and should be acting accordingly. She shouldn't be in a position to teach young minds if she's so toxic.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This kind of brigading is against reddits rules. The subreddit could be shut down over it. I mean if you are willing to risk that...

[+]Speedracer98 -13 points-12 points-11 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

doxxing is totally different than sharing info that was shared with you upfront. if they didn't want to have their details posted by the professor they would have used a fake account to contact them.

[–]PM_me_ur_swimsuit 19 points20 points21 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Public info or not, posting info in order to raise a personal army is still a shitty thing to do.

[+]Speedracer98 -12 points-11 points-10 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

if they wanted to remain anonymous they should have made a fake account. if you can prove the prof initiated the harassment then she is at fault but you can't prove that so the harasser is at fault. boohoo

[–]PM_me_ur_swimsuit 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Is this a title IX violation?

(I'm not in the US)

[–]scottieducati 151 points152 points153 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yes / Probably, but people seem to forget Title IX was about equality....

[–]awkwrdraydayo 68 points69 points70 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Title IX was about forcing the patriarchy to give women MORE equality since they've had less equality for so long. /s

[–]IVIaskerade 28 points29 points30 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Title IX was a monument to the fact that men and women are equal, but some are more equal than others.

[–]Drew2248 -5 points-4 points-3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Incorrect. Title IX is a 1972 law whose purpose was to create equal educational opportunities for men and women. It was adopted at a time when women were routinely treated as second-class students. Women were admitted to medical and law schools in only very small numbers. Women were rarely made professors, and most college teachers at all levels were men. Women were treated by professors as clueless idiots in many college classrooms. Women's sports barely even existed while men's sports commonly received millions of dollars in funding. Title IX has done more to rectify women's second-class status in education than perhaps any other government action -- ever.

There is no such thing as "more" equality any more than there is "more" fairness or "more" justice. Either you have it or you don't. This is a right-wing idea usually from some dim bulb angry about people who were always historically mistreated who get legal rights. "Oh, look, they get 'more' equality because now they have laws protecting them," said the clueless straight white boy who has never been racially profiled, never denied a job because of his race, never been fired because of his sexual orientation, never mocked, harassed, or assaulted because of gender or race.

If you honestly believe there is such a thing as people gaining "more" equality or justice than white men as a group have always had, you are so badly historically informed it's laughable. I'd expect to hear this sort of nonsense from some clueless frat boy who grew up in white bread America and never had any race or gender harassment, who was admitted to college on an athletic scholarship, who plans to inherit money from their parents, who then complains about how "unfair" the world is even though everything has always been handed to them on a platter. There are far too many whiny millennial white boys who blame the world for their pathetic loserness.

[–]IVIaskerade 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]possiblyhazardous 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The way in which he said it is misleading. GU is a college and even if it's a public college people have a choice to attend or not. It's not like local primary or secondary schools where geography determines which school you attend.

Literally anyone in the world can apply to GU...or not.

So yes if it is a public school a small portion of our taxes are used to compensate this crazy bitches salary. She is not the first crazy bitch (who is targeting women and men) and she won't be the last.

[–]DennistheDutchie 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That doesn't always work. A not-often-known workaround is to actually eliminate the group itself, which eliminates the tenure, like a sort of bankruptcy.

Example: Tenured professor in Robotics. Group dissolved, Professor's contract ends, new group is made called: "Automation & Electronics"

Not sure if it works in every country, and it's a last resort, but never count on your tenure to be an asshole without consequences.

What I really dislike is how certain dogmas become major trends to such a degree that even people with supposed authority can't find the spine to exercise reason and fairness. With enough groundswell, any set of bad ideas seem to rule all of culture for long periods of time before being supplanted by other mediocre ideas.

How hard is it to just look at an individual, disregard their place in the zeitgeist and say, "you, individually, are being a piece of shit?"

But yeah, I agree that women in general seem to get a special pass at being hystrionic, if not in other areas.

[–]ThatSmegmaGuy 32 points33 points34 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

He is a piece of shit no doubt but it's not like he was spouting off white nationalist rhetoric at the free weights or throwing up the nazi salute to the men that walked into the locker room. If the article holds any truth he actively tried to avoid the confrontation entirely.

[–]MackNine -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm torn, I feel like we should be able to ridicule the ridiculous. Doesn't that sorta immunize society from at least some of the bullshit? I don't want to defend this psycho, but I'm not ready to write off the power of some shaming.

[–]karan812 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with you completely.

On the one hand, Spencer is a cunt and such confrontation in supposedly neutral spaces should show him that his actions have consequences.

On the other, he wasn't hurting anyone at the gym and some part of you thinks he shouldn't have been treated that way.

The fact that empathy is what gives you this feeling of being torn is what makes you a good person. Better, at least, than both this crazy lady and definitely Richard Spencer (though that's a low, low, low bar).

[–]super_poderosa 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is an interesting question, and I think the answer involves where we draw the line between a public and a private life for public figures. I mean, obviously if this guy is at a book signing or a political event, and you go there and yell at him and hold up signs about he's a dick weasel that's your right and I'll applaud you. Do you go to his house? Follow him into restaurants? I think at some point you're no longer protesting, you're just harassing someone. I think people who promote harmful ideas should be debated and if they're bad enough even shamed publicly... but you've still got to let them have a private life.

[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points-2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

They should be killed IMO, not just publicly shamed.

Wouldn't matter. If the jusge is male he would be painted as part of the patriarchy. Anf if the judge is female they would just say that she internalized the patriarchy. That system is set up way to well. Al bases are covered and there is no legitimate way of defeatinf it. Or at least no way that I can see.

[–]dontyougetitnow 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Not much, the system works in her favour. Even if word gets out and the "normies" see her for the psycho she is, it blows over soon after and people forget about the root of the problem that enables and rewards this woman's crazy behaviour. People just don't have enough time or care (usually) to give a shit about stuff like this unless it affects them directly. Sure, they'll think "man, that's awful", but then move one with their life. People have jobs and shit, ain't nobody got time for that, except the feminists, whose job it is to corrupt the system in their favour. How can you compete with people working full time to be a destructive, cohesive force?

[+]LetsGetSchwifty1234 -9 points-8 points-7 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Let me fill you in, as a "normie". We view people like you and this sub to be the psychos, not this woman. [–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

What do you think is best going to make a harasser stop and reconsider harassing this lady, harassing them back or publicly shaming them?

[–]ih8teyouall 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

So I guess in your opinion, if I think what you say to me is harassing, I can just doxx you to make you stop?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Have you seen the stuff people said about her? It's absolutely harassment, this isn't merely a matter of opinion.

[–]ih8teyouall 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

Harassment is subjective. What she did to trump supporters could be harassment. Back to my question, if I think you are harassing me can I doxx you?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

No harassment is not subjective. If harassment was subjective then mods could reasonably go around banning any opinion they don't like because they felt it was harassment, and I don't think you would like that. I don't know what else you could call it when people send her hate mail on a daily basis that wouldn't be equally as malicious. It's certainly not constructive criticism to call someone else a feminazi, a syphilitic professor, to tell them they're going to hell, to slander them as a "man hating old woman".

[–]ih8teyouall 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm saying she's not doing this for no reason nor that she just wants to doxx people for doxxing's sake alone. Can you understand that?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well. There are basically two options. Get her fired. Or make it so she is no longer physically capable of continuing dooing this. Both of them would get spun so she is a victim of the patriarchy. And the second one would be highly illegal (because it is assault or murder). So no. There is no way of stopping her where she wouldn't become a martyr.

In the one of the cases it seems the guy was defending a woman that the Fair told to "fuck off and go to hell". I notice that she didn't dox her for whatever she said, but instead doxed him.

"You live by the sword and die by the sword" is a two way street, Does the woman she insulted have a moral right to dox Fair? I don't think so, it's incredibly immature and potentially harmful beyond having semi-private opinions shared with employers and potential employers.

I'd imagine that anybody with a strong opinion that uses the language she herself apparently insults people with would have the common sense to use a separate or disposable email address, preferably using something like Tor going through a couple of proxies.

Having said that, I have no idea why anybody would want to directly contact somebody they don't know with polar opposite opinions. It's not as if an email is going to change their mind about anything.

IANAL, but the US doesn't have much in the way of privacy law and the 1st Am. constrains a great deal of what limits can be put on speech (setting aside non-disclosure agreements which fall under contract law).

If she is publishing emails she received with names attached then, by definition, she's making true statements ("this person said that thing to me") so it's almost certainly not defamation. AIUI, malicious intent can be grounds for litigation, but that's a very high bar to establish.

That all said, if she publishes an email sent to her university email address from a student (especially of that school), then perhaps there is a FERPA violation to consider.

Anyone harmed by her actions should seek legal advice from a qualified attorney, and I'm guessing any reputable lawyer would suggest "don't waste your money".

Time we had a definition of 'Toxic Femininity/Feminism':

1-Passive aggressiveness.

2-Snarky behaviour.

3-Inability to cope with emotions calmly.

4-Inability to remain rational and calm at appropriate moments.

Will the Left and Academic institutions allow professors to work for them who believe in such a reverse look at Feminism and Female behaviours?

[–]IronJohnMRA 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm hardly surprised by her actions, she works for Georgetown, a Jesuit University. Women there, either faculty or students, are given the widest possible latitude when it comes to their behavior on or off campus. The Jesuit order are feminist sellouts, and will do almost anything to avoid punishing one of their celebrities (i.e. female people). I'm willing to bet she has been getting away with actions very similar to what is happening now for quite sometime at work, and since it has gone unchecked for so long she has formed the impression she can get away with it in other parts of her life as well. It won't be long until this catches up with her, and the, "Society of Jesus" won't be able to protect her any longer.

Laura,

You started your initial comment with "she actually is Jewish"

She is Jewish. She claims to be and information has verified that. It is a fact. Are you claiming to be anti facts Laura?

as though that is some sort of point against her,

That is your own interpretation, you are wrong in assuming that I was using that as a point against her, I was merely stating an objective fact.

you referred to the Daily Stormer as though it is a valid news source

The Daily Stormer is world renowned for its total and complete accuracy in reporting. They are first in facts and integrity. And you shouldn't besmirch this globally respected newspaper.

and you're portraying a literal Nazi as the victim in this whole scenario.

Laura, do you think this woman's behavior is acceptable? Richard Spencer has never even been accused of a crime let alone convicted for one. It is not a crime to be a nazi even though he claims not to be one.

Do you know why when Bruce Jenner goes "call me Caitlyn and use female pronouns with me" we do it? It's because we respect people's wishes and how the choose to identify. Sure she is technically still a man (prior to surgery and hormone treatment) but we choose to call her Caitlyn and use female pronouns out of respect. I suppose you still call Richard Spencer a nazi even though he says he isn't one just like your probably still call Caitlyn Jenner "Bruce". Don't cut yourself on that edge Laura.

Yeah, I 100% believe your "goofy username" is serious.

Well I made it and I can say with 100% certainty that you're wrong yet again. It's a silly username that isn't serious.

I genuinely think you're a hateful person who should think long and hard about the realities of the world.

Or maybe you should not call people names they don't want to be called Laura.

It might not be too late for you to get out of your neo-nazi hole and rejoin the rest of the world.

I work at a company with almost a thousand employees where everyone is extremely right wing and I'm not even the most right wing person in my own department let alone company. I'm not in a "hole" im doing what I love and being paid very well for it while being surrounded by like minded people.

I don't know who hurt you, but I know that surrounding yourself in hate for your fellow humans will only end badly for you.

It has been going pretty swimmingly so far so if this is ending badly for me then I'm fine it with it because I'm super happy.

I hope you figure shit out before it's too late.

Bitch I have a three story house. I've got shit figured out. GTFO.

[–]KingRobotPrince 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Just like the alt-right, the alt-left take things too far and go against what most of their group think. They are also violent and dangerous.

They aren't the same as a left leaning middle class professional supporting democratic socialism, so to allow them to be labelled simply "left wing" is not quite right.

A lot of these educated feminist professors are completely insane. She's a great example.

Another angry woman who can't get laid resorts to attacking men. She seriously looks disgusting.

Yup, looks exactly like I figured.

Can any nutjob become a professor in the US?

[–]elryanoo 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She put in the work and got a PhD, but that doesn't make her a nice person.

[–]KingRobotPrince 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's sad really. She's probably very unhappy in her life. Not very good looking, spent a lot of time studying when she was younger, like she is single and now firmly on the shelf. Kind of like /r/incells.

I imagine she holds the patriarchy responsible for her unhappiness and is the stereotypical angry feminist, trying to persuade young women to make the same mistakes as her, or to change the whole world to make her feel better about her lot in life.

I'm very much in favor of this sub, I enjoy it immensely and I am usually in agreement with 99% of what's posted, but she's fighting back against people who are actively inserting themselves into her life. They're being crude, rude, and ill-mannered and she's doing nothing more than trolling the trolls. And for that I say BRAVO!

[–]EricAllonde 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The appropriate response to a rude message on email is a rude reply via email. Or blocking that sender so that future messages are auto deleted.

Doxxing is not an appropriate response.

As others have pointed out, these same hate-fuelled SJWs and feminists are the first and loudest to whine about it when someone does it to them.

[–]Abrium41 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Forgot that initial part though... you know, her behavior - which begs response.

if they didn't want to have their info shared with the professor they should have used a social media account that was a fake name. i mean are these MRA idiots really the victim here? no

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She looks like the philosophy professor from Kimmy Schmidt

If the examples from the blog are a fair representation of the notes she gets, good for her. If someone sent me attacks, I'd do the same.

[–]possiblyhazardous -5 points-4 points-3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Umm..this sub has been hitting a new low lately.

This is like TMZ stuff. This random lady makes derogatory remarks about people who disagree with her. Those people are men and women.

Where is the "men's rights" issue? Some people here are revved up and ready to fire at the first thing looking their way.

Pitchforks down people. Nothing injust about some old hag sharing public information on her personal blog. Seriously TMZ shit lmao

those poor men. Their hateful anonymous are no longer anonymous.

[–]Beagus 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh shut up you dumb cunt. That's what's wrong with you idiots, you're so one sided and only see discrimination when it comes from the other side.

[–]Ilostmynewunicorn 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Do you realize that this same ideology is behind T_D and far-right groups doing the same to liberals right? "Oh that person doesn't agree with me, so let me harass them and send some attackers their way".

If you defend this "lady", then you must also be defending Trump supporters who released an enormous list of anti-Trump people's personal data.

[–]manbjornswiss 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Maybe you should read the emails she receives. https://cchristinefair.tumblr.com

[–]Ilostmynewunicorn 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

First of all, let me make it clear that I'm not defending people who send her those emails, their actions are deplorable and tell me they must have nothing else to do.

But that's kind of what happens when you put your face out there and attack people. Every public speaker, whether they are from the left or the right, gets targeted and attacked, it's normal and to be expected.

Take Ben Shapiro. I don't agree with most of the things he says, but do you think he doesn't receive hate mail? He gets booed and harassed when he's speaking to the point cops have to remove the protesters, let alone when people have anonymity.

Does Shapiro come out and say "Hey here's all the info of the guy that attacked me"? No. So even though I don't agree with him in most matters, I have to respect him for this, but it's simple maturity and human decency.

If I go out on the street and start calling people who weren't disturbing anyone fat, and then I get personal insults thrown back at me, I deserved them. If I take pictures of these people and post them online along with their addresses, I'm a fucking child who shouldn't be allowed to leave his house. This is a person with extreme and offensive points of view who teaches at a public school and then complains that people throw opinions back at her. I don't pity her at all.

[–]manbjornswiss 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why should people be able to post death/rape threats or tell you should have been stuffed into an oven with all the other Jews anonymously and without repercussions? Maybe If they didn't want people to know about their harassment hobby they should gasp not harass complete strangers on the internet. Anonymity empowers trolls and they tend to behave much more civilly when they lose it.

[–]Ilostmynewunicorn 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't read all her emails but the ones I read were barely racist and non-threatening, they were simply insulting her looks. Like I said I don't think this is a problem. If someone holds an extremist and offensive point of view, no matter if left or right, then they should expect to be attacked. If they are big enough to attack other people, surely they should be big enough to be attacked.

If she feels threatened there is an institution to take care of that. It's called the police.

Also, note that these "trolls" are not harassing a complete stranger. They are harassing someone who publicly holds offensive believes and views. And if you visit her website, you can see she's the one that harasses complete strangers for no reason other than display her "moral superiority".

All in all, she is a child. She reminds me of my 10 year old cousin who liked to kick cars and then run to his parents when the car's owner went after him.

This discussion is boring and it's obvious you don't share my views, although I think they are pretty reasonable, it's basic human decency. This discussion is over, have a good day.
