A boy today is constantly told that he is bad and wrong because of his gender. He lives in an environment where the mainstream "politically correct" forces teach him and others around him that bigotry and hatred against him is ok, or even justice.

He gets lower grades for the same work, which puts him behind for life. He is less likely to attend college, more likely to be unemployed, and more likely to be homeless. He is more likely to develop heart disease and cancer, and more likely to die before the age of 70. Throughout his life, he is constantly given less resources, and faces legalized discrimination and disfavorment.

He is called privileged and sexist. He is expected to place the comfort, safety and wellbeing of half the population over his own, regardless of individual circumstances. He is punished more severely but the court system, his healthcare is considered less important, and when violence is against him, it is considered normal.

I don't think that I agree 100% with the post specifically, but I do agree in the fact that there different standards for both genders and they are unfair. A man's work may be arguably valued more than a woman's but a woman's life is valued more than a man's. This is just an example.

But being a boy by itself, nope, doesn't feel bad at all.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's before metoo and all this stuff, it didn't impact my life like it does the younger guys.

I weep for milennials, not myself, they have it rough.

Alot of them don't have fathers or role models, nobody teaches them how to be a man, or think you have to be Rambo or whatever.

The essence of being a man is understated quiet strength, we don't cry and bitch and moan, we also aren't jittery little clowns who dance around for attention. We walk with gravitas and dignity. We are helpful and polite to women. We are helpful and polite to babies and children and animals. We are kind.

If we have an objection we make our case reasonably and say, "here, for your consideration. Thank you."

The USA does not deserve its men (or its ladies, to be honest.)

It makes me genuinely sad that boys think all of these things. The fact that all of you truly think this is the only way a girl will like you is heartbreaking.

I split the check on most dates, unless they insist. I never think down on guys that I split the check with. I date men shorter than me. I date men that aren’t conventionally “attractive” but have wonderful personalities. I date men that aren’t necessarily “ripped” or “fit”.

You all have it SO wrong. Just because a model won’t date you because she’s out of your league doesn’t mean no one will. Just be kind, patient, compassionate, and have interests. Don’t be an asshole and that’s honestly all you need.
