I am going through this right fucking now... I cannot see my kids, my exwife keeps them from me and barely "Allows" me to speak to them on the phone. I am deathly affraid something is going to happen to me, and my kids feel the same way, when in reality; I try and call EVERY NIGHT, and send them cards telling them I love and miss them.

My mother used to tell me she broke up with my dad because he's an alcoholic and he was constantly beating her.
I never trusted her.
Now I live with him and I'm an adult (Eh... 27 and unemployed, fuck my life) and I know he wouldn't hurt a fly unless seriously provoked or for self defense.
The worst part about OP's post, if real, is that poor man died thinking his son didn't care about him because he never got a letter back and probably that cunt just told him his son didn't care.
I know it's not only women can be so cruel so I won't address this toward any gender but... How the fuck could anyone be THAT cruel?

I would imagine this has happened countless times in many parts of the west (and other cultures). It's one reason I think having a family just isn't on the cards for most people in the current climate.

Regardless of whether or not this particular story is real, it highlights a very real problem of parental alienation. It's extremely easy to say your ex was a piece of shit and doesn't/never cared about the child when they aren't there to say their side of the story.

If there is one thing I appreciate about my parents, it is that even though they divorced, they knew the best thing was to let my sister and I have almost equal time with each parent. Had that not happened, who knows what things would have been like.

I know a few people like this. My ex had a similar situation with her father and it affected her more than I could ever understand. To grow up being told to hate your father (or mother in the reverse situation) is pretty common.

I don't know if this is real or not, but I know it is true, if that makes any sense.

My mom have never said anything bad about my father. She would always tell me that he's great and kind. She did mention some minor flaws about him but not out of hatred. I've never done this to my ex bf, i don't get why some people would do this.

TIP: Try not to date someone who keeps badmouthing people. She/he might do the same thing to you. Unless you think you can take it or you don't mind it, then go ahead date them.
