Two Latino men arrested for "manspreading".

This article is more broadly about the police racket of arresting and re-arresting minorities and the poor (mostly men of course) on trumped up charges. "Manspreading" now being seen as fair game because of feminist lobbying.

Let's be clear: all these attacks on men's civil rights by feminists hurt minority men the most because the people at the bottom of the heap are always the first fucked over by corruption and prejudice.

Judge throws it out -- sort of. But the charge is completely false (they were arrested around midnight when the tube was mostly empty so no by law says you can't take up two seats if you want to). They were let go eventually but told that if they get fake arrested for some other shit again this illegal charge will come back too.

Feminists lobbying attacks minorities. Their pretense at caring about other forms of prejudice are as bullshit as the pretense to care about sex equality.

So already there's this situation where men can't be alone with young women for fear of being accused of being a pedophile. I wonder how long it will be before men just won't be comfortable on public transit due to fear of being arrested for their posture?

And to top it off, there will be all sorts of articles out there about "Men are holding back progress about climate change by refusing to use public transit. What should be done?"

This seems entirely unfair to Matthew Broderick, his condition isn't rudeness, it's a disability and should be treated as such.

Broderick has spend much of his adult life being conditioned to sit a certain way and I'm sure you would have trouble adjusting your seated position if you had to ride your wife the way he has to ride Sarah Jessica Parker on a daily basis.

The article says people aren't allowed to take up more than one seat. I see no problem with that rule.

The list goes on. Ninety-four percent of the 850 defendants observed by PROP were people of color, according to the report. Plenty more of the accounts take place above ground.

That's the big take away for me and I'm sure it's over 90% male. The targeting of men and minorities by police is a real issue. They're the low hanging fruit for cops on ticket or arrest quotas.

personally, i think that this is ridiculous. but, it is undoubtfully hilarious. man-spreading is an "issue", but we can all agree that it's nothing to be arrested over... i worry for our country.

If the men were taking up two seats on a busy train, then the NYPD just met their annual quota for good deeds.

Maybe they were intentionally taking up space, maybe they were arrested for being Latino. Without a picture of the alleged man spreading, we can't know.
