What is it with all the hate for this sub from other subs across the site?

Culturally right now you are given a 100% pass to hate men, especially white cisgendered men. So a lot of people do, just because they like hate and indulging in it. It makes them feel powerful and in control.

That being said most of the hate directed towards this sub is out of pure ignorance. Most of the people that call for the banning of this place have never actually read a single post here. They have no idea what this community actually is or what it actually talks about. All they know is the lies that the fanatics tell them.

If you want to get an impression for what the crazies think this sub is like just go to the menslib subreddit. That place is basically a feminist infiltration camp. They brainwash guys that want to have rights but don't want to upset women into being subhuman second class citizens in society. Its disgusting. Compare the attitude there to the attitude here and you'll have a great idea why people try to misrepresent this sub all the time.

Its true that there is a lot of anger here towards feminism because a lot of the members here have been very seriously victimized by feminism. This is literally the only place most of them have been able to find where they can actually speak out against feminism and talk about the abuses they've suffered from women. No where else on reddit is welcoming to those kinds of topics, and most everywhere else will ban you instantly for even getting close to the subject.

There is a wealth of content and quality posts here. But it is a mixed bag, no doubt. There are a lot of bad posts, a lot of shit posts, a lot of hate posts, but theres also a lot of positive conversation, constructive criticism, sharing of grief, and showing of empathy. Its such a hodgepodge of different things because this is the ONLY place for ANY of it. This community is a refugee camp for the dozens and dozens of communities that have been destroyed by reddit censorship.

This Q gets asked a lot. It is simply feminists are insecure as they knw legitimate discussions about men take place in here and very legitimate and overdue discussions about the hypocrisy and lies from feminists. There's a huge number of problems men face,we can see men get nothing for soaring suicide rates, homeless men dying in the snow, parental alienation etc.. while feminists get hundreds of millions of dollars for fighting microaggressions, mansplaining, the lack of women in comedy etc.. its a joke.

They are insecure and have a guilty conscious and it bothers them, and I LOVE it!

Many of the rights that MRA's want are areas that women have a distinct advantage, such as family court.

Remember, equality feels like oppression when you have had the advantage for so long.

So they paint MRA's as bad so they won't lose their advantages, while demanding equality for anything they don't have an advantage in.

Because there is a lot of propaganda about what this sub is about mixed with lazy immature people which leads to a bad reputation circlejerk.

Not only that but there are (sadly) a good number of people who conflate criticizing feminism with hating women which "confirms" the ignorance-based lies that permeate the website.

Another factor to consider is that femnists and their ilk made it their mission to denounce this sub in favor of menslib which lives in the same echo chamber as the rest of the female centric subs.

Also if I'm honest the people who consistently bash this sub are the same people who say the most sexist and deranged things about men it's pretty obvious projection at the end of the day.

They cherry-pick posts they deem misogynistic. They have a much lower tolerance for misogyny. If you criticize feminism then you're a woman-hater or you have internalized misogyny. The media portrays MRAs as violent and misogynistic. Feminists and media believe when men gather in groups, it's dangerous (based on cherry-picked examples). Many of them believe MRAs are against women's rights and want to go back to a traditionalist society where women didn't have any rights (they believe this, once again, based on cherry-picked examples, as well as exaggerating things). Additionally, because the sub is called Men's Rights, it gets mocked because "men have all the rights".

I've been called an alt-right because I pointed out the double standard with the naked Thor scene in Thor: Love and Thunder. I've been called a woman-hater because I pointed out there's more than 10% female rapists. I never said anything bad or "mean" or anything. Simply pointed out things and was labelled an "alt-right" and "woman-hater".

A lot of people have been brainwashed into thinking that this sub is filled with a bunch of angry men that reject women, marriage, and society. Just posting articles of women doing bad things like that’s some sort of win for male equality. Complaining about the quality of women these days and about ‘chads’ that get all the girls. Constantly belittling womens plight to get where they are today and complaining that women live life on easy mode.

It’s not like that though. But that’s the impression other people have.

Edit: for example. 2 articles ago, someone posted an article about the hypocrisy and lack of accountability modern women show. Other subs will post that in an attempt to make it look like this sub is anti women but it said MOdERN women. So it’s only some women.

Reddit leans political left. Anyone who questions this either is not familiar with the site or is willfully ignorant. One thing the Left is very good at is making a hypothetical list and listing down anything that may oppose any given social mission they stand for.

political right leaning subs
subs that are dedicated to being pro-America (rare as they are on Reddit)
subs that are skeptical or question Wokeism and SJWs
subs that diametrically oppose modern day feminism
subs that are dedicated to to a particular religion or anti-theism
subs that question The Left in general

The sub can be private, but sooner or later 2XChromosomes, r_politics, r_worldnews etc. will find you and later keep tabs on you.

During the Reddit Purge of 2019, the site quarantined and later banned numerous subs as examples of what not to say and what not to stand for. Subs that are said to "spread hate, bigotry" and "propaganda" (in reality, almost everything is propaganda) were axed but, "to be fair", Reddit also axed a number of left leaning subs like ChapoHouse because it did axe T_D, so they knew what they were doing.

This subreddit started out as a subreddit devoted exclusively to the topic of men's rights about 8 to 10 years ago. During that time it grew extensively with a membership of up to 500,000.
About a year or so ago there was a marked increase in threads with an explicitly anti-feminist - and in many cases anti-women - theme or content. In many cases these posts have little to no connection to men's rights per se or how the quality of men's lives can be improved within society. It has been suggested that the increase of posts of this nature was correlated with the banning of some subreddits such as r/mgtow or r/incel, with the implication that the members of those subreddits 'needed a new place to vent', but I have no direct knowledge of this.
I have observed there is a persistent - and ultimately futile - tendency by some who post in this subreddit to visit subreddits like r/2xchromosomes, get outraged by what they see, then come to this subreddit to complain. This has been compared to disliking the taste of shit, but persistently eating a bowl of shit every day in the futile hopes that the taste of shit itself will someday change.
IMHO there is a lot of merit in the suggestion that for each new thread started, the author must submit a submission statement (as in some other subreddits like r/futurology) that explains the content of their submission and clearly justifies how it is related to the topic of men's rights. In the absence of this, well, you can judge for yourself on the quality of many of the posts submitted.

Saying feminism is bad is a losing argument. It reminds me of MAGA morons longing for the pre-Civil Rights era. It was great for some and horrible for others. All of the changes in society have to be put in their historical perspective.

Don't equate feminism with the worst thing you've heard a woman say or do. There are shitty people in every demographic group. Remember that people could equate MRAs with the worst thing one of them said or did. Would that be reasonable?

The disinformation. There was a post on here recently claiming that two women from a university in Switzerland did a study and concluded many bad things about feminism. Two women would be feminists so their conclusions would be especially relevant if the had negative reports about feminism, right? The post linked to a garbage tabloid article about the study. Having the names of the researchers I found the research article the tabloid claimed to summarize. There was nothing in the research that concluded what the tabloid claimed. It was an outright lie.

This type of misinformation is especially insidious because it leads men to believe that there's an actual conspiracy afoot. Did the person who posted bother to do his research?

I have a pretty straightforward explanation, and this is just my own perspective: I think a lot of groups on the internet just don't like seeing men standing up for each other and banding together against the hatred for them. Seeing men support each other is rare online, much less in real life, and I think some people want to take that away. So they trash the image of this sub.

I've seen posts here and there on this sub that make me think, "well, I'm not so sure about that," but I can't at all be inclined to call this a hate sub. I think that really just comes from the people, regardless of gender, on the outside looking in.

Anything remotely outside of the current acceptable narrative is torpedoed on Reddit. Men are disposable in society. Men are only as good as the resources they can provide. Big daddy government has become the replacement for men, so people feel like they can throw shade, since they (think) they don’t need them anymore.
