I’m a woman. I’m here cause I’ve a father, male cousins and friends and a boyfriend I care about deeply. I seek to understand and empathize with your struggles cause I know you have them.

But then I go to a women’s subreddit page and the first post I see is about a woman who was raped in the Navy by a guy also in the Navy alongside her and was never given the support in regards to dealing with her rapist or her PTSD that followed and it’s easy to understand where the woman’s frustration comes from.

Both sides are constantly comparing and complaining about each other. But why is there this deep mistrust, this cognitive dissonance between woman and men?

Can it ever be fixed? Or will h the majority of the two populations continue to blame each other until the end of time?
