I can’t seem to wrap my head around this one. This pertains to couples in a relationship after a month or two.

There’s this obsession in the TRP community that once you fail a shit test you’re done. Just run away and find someone new. That seems inherently defeatist to me. Quite frankly it doesn’t make any sense. I understand not chasing a woman out of desperation or holding on to something you need to just let go of. No man should have to convince a woman why she should be with him…fucking ever. I guess if you did some heinous shit but she probably shouldn’t be with you for that reason alone and you should leave her be. The power dynamics shift and are ripe for abuse going forward. I’ve seen women take pleasure in taking revenge on the man who fucked up.

But at the same time he also shouldn’t run away out of embarrassment for failing said shit test. Women fail too. If a man says hey I’m going out with the guys and you have something other than hey go have fun that could be a failed shit test. You’re showing insecurity and abandonment issues, no? There’s all sorts of examples of this with women. We all shit test each other in a sense.

I have a hard time believing all LTR’s or married couples coast through life without shit testing each other and someone failing though. There’s just a general understanding of each other and behaviors that indicate acknowledgment of said failure. You believe in them to get their shit together because they have a history of getting their shit together.

So from a woman’s perspective what are the failed shit tests that make you want to walk away completely that a man should be aware of? Do you really want men just disappearing if they fail a shit test? How does any of that make sense?

If a man has the habit of looking inward for the root cause of failed shit tests and shows growth, does that build desire and attraction back up where you can both fuck each other silly again or is there too much back and forth and it needs to be more consistent? He’s not the rock you need? And if you do need a rock, is that an unreasonable expectation?
