I think many men want to be women in the sense they want women to pursue them, they bitch they aren't pretty, they think women should pay for dates, that women should accept them as they are and not complain about finances etc.

For me I don’t give a fuck about gender roles, and that’s worked quite well for me. I wouldn’t say I “reversed” them, in any partnership I’m in (romantic or otherwise) I think everyone should do what they can do and are best at, I don’t really care what genitals someone has. My husband also hasn’t cared about gender roles, and we have built a happy life together. So to your “what gives”, the answer for some is they are happier doing what they want even if it doesn’t line up with what you think they should do because they have a particular gender.

Well they label the traditional stuff as toxic , most of them are raised by women and scientifically a lot of these young men coming up have lower and lower testosterone, so they're already starting off not really the most masculine dudes to begin with

If man does not lead and head his family, he is bound to fail. All this talk equal partnership is good to hear but blows up on the face few years into marriage.

If a man cannot be the leader of his family, it's better he does not marry. Otherwise he will face a lifetime of resentment and hurt till a divorce or meets death. Remaining bachelor is not bad option if you set your finances right.

im a prime exemple of that !! i cant tolerate bad behavior in anyone even my own mother!! and it make relationship much much harder to achieve (most girls are so used to say and act as they want)!! unfortunately most guys let women do what they want to them !! at 21 i made my first huge observation , i was at the college campus minding my business drinking my morning coffee and it hit me how in every couple(man and woman) holding hands i always felt like the woman is the one leading the man(she guide him) then i start looking for more couples and always the girl is caring a guy around the campus from one group to another like a sack of poteto and the dude with his tired expression he's like saying i need to kill myself , i think that the smv of the average women is extremely high compared to the average man that they tolerate this kind of behavior , most couples i saw a day the girl are like a girl is guiding a pet!! i never been able to exist in that situation, even then when i enter a relationship i use stand up for her and she get really confused like wtf that's not suppose to happen , you need to be gradfule to her everyday that you are fucking her, those are my two cents !! what i notice against how girls respect other girls more than they respect guys and it was weird a man could literally snap your head out of your body with one hand !!!!
