I've noticed a common argument made by many women on here is the idea that submissive women are inherently "weaker" and if a man desires one then it somehow means he is weak/insecure and desiring a partner he can control.

I feel the irony is that, if anything, the more submissive the woman I interact with. The better looking, more accomplished her partners and the more she is actually able to get what she wants out of men.

It's funny. I've mentioned before that I stand out physically. Back when I was single and I used to date, one thing I noticed that it was often that the more submissive the women, the less likely she was to play games when it came to meeting. They were less afraid to express interest and commit to dates. They were less neurotic and/or paranoid that I would run off or garner the interest of other women. The more "masculine" (not the best terminology but it'll serve as a placeholder), the more I would experience insecurity, flaking and just general shithousery which often was a clear lack of self esteem on the others part. And it's not sour grapes, I can't count the amount of "boss babes" who just had to elicit haphazard attempts to "neg" me in the hopes it may make me less likely to have a wandering eye.

I look at the experiences of my mother and my partners mother. And I love my mother, she's a strong woman but shes hardly had an easy life. Especially when compared to my girlfriends mother. The latter is far more submissive and has enjoyed a far more comfortable life, partly because I feel she let my GFs father play the provider role and pushed him forward career wise. My mother second guessed a lot of my father decisions and some of her decision making, particularly in business, was questionable at best.

Don't get me wrong, I do feel as a society submissiveness isn't respected enough. Part of society even functioning accordingly requires all of us to submit to various institutions, power structures and individuals. And yet its constantly drilled into us that we are somehow lesser if we didn't start some imaginary billion dollar business at 12. Similarly I feel many men are too quick to see submissiveness as a green light to overpower or abuse.

But, fundamentally, I find that whenever you pass through middle class neighbourhoods, the bulk of the inhabitants work a 9 to 5. Similarly, when I run into desirable/successful men, their partners adhere to a level of feminine decorum even if its surface level. Because whilst submissiveness does mean someone else taking control, it also gives ones the freedom of choice and the freedom to leave. Whilst I submit to my employer, I can also choose to take my lucrative skills elsewhere. Just as a submissive woman can choose to leave...and believe me, she'll often find a man's willing replacement in a hot minute
