The discourse against men dating much younger women is disingenuous and driven by female insecurity and/or resentment towards younger women or men in general. That is apparent by the weakness of the reasoning/arguments stated when it comes to this topic.

Let‘s go through them one by one.

„They are going for young girls because they can‘t get someone their own age!“ Baseless claim. The simple alternative is that they simply find young women attractive while still having the option to date those of their age. Dating much younger women and women your own age are not mutually exclusive options.

„They are going for young girls because they are easier to manipulate!“ Yet again a baseless accusation and also highly defamatory. Maybe they do maybe they don‘t. Such an accusation should not be made so brazenly. It certainly isn‘t a given.

„Young women and these older men are at completely different stages at their life and have different maturity levels!“ …And? Who cares? Why do they act like everyone prioritizes being on the same level of maturity? I‘ve dated women much older than me and also much younger. Both is interesting to me and my priorities simply don‘t lie in that.

Also, the „stages in life“ claim sounds very sheepish and reductive to me. Life is very subjective and specific to the individual. But I guess it‘s no surprise that the likes who make such arguments operate on a frame of having their lives dictated by societal expectations and norms.

„But it‘s often the case that men who date younger women are X!“ For one, you probably have no data on this and are doing the same fallacy bigots do where you already believe something and seek out anecdotes to confirm it. This claim also neglects that the original motive was to frame it that all men who date younger women are manipulative losers who can‘t get women their age and that for men to date much younger women is bad in absolute terms. Suddenly it‘s often instead of all? So you are admitting that dating younger women isn‘t inherently bad but it depends on the intent and actions specific to the man? That‘s already a massive concession because the clear intent of this discourse led by women is to declare it taboo by default for men to date women who are much younger under the claim it‘s absolutely and in all cases immoral/abusive/done only by losers. It‘s a Motte and Bailey tactic.

The point is to intimidate men from dating much younger women by framing a possibility as an absolute. Pressed on it, the absolute becomes an alleged commonality that implies the matter should be judged on a case by case basis but instead they take on the same reasoning of bigots where you are guilty before proven innocent „because it‘s often the case“.
