It does, but people have different opinions what "strong man" means. Strong values? What values exactly? Many weak beta man have absurdely "strong" values. I make fun of them because they are moralising about everything and are total buzzkills thanks to their "strong values". And some values sound cool, but aren't feasible.

I think you have to define "weak men" a little more specifically to have a fruitful argument around this. In my estimation: yes, doormats are weak but so are blustering machismos. Dudes standing outside clubs in sparkly shirts seem weak. My friend's smug, racist "I do karate now!" husband is weak. I guess my personal definition of weakness is someone controlled by outside forces rather than internal ones.

Sure women might have sex with these "weak" dudes to varying degrees but does anyone respect them?

Most women have no idea what being strong or weak actually means. It's just words they use to rationalise their attraction. Most women think strength is aggression, that strength is bluster, that strength is violence, that strength is being a loudmouth, that strength is being egotistical, that strength is being domineering.

You're just lying to yourself if you think abusive men are actually "weak". No, those men fit most women's definition of strength alright. You can't suddenly pretend that the man you're with and who you love is weak when you're with him because he's so protective over you and not afraid to throw hands when other guys stare too long and because he is a domineering presence that takes over any room he's in. Just the kind of strong men women love to be with.

Real strength is being who yourself no matter what. Doing the right thing even if it's not popular. Knowing your limits. Being able to make sacrifices for others. Women are not attracted to real strength. A quiet introverted guy working hard to achieve his dreams might have tremendous mental fortitude but he's not more attractive than some big loud bully who's not above threatening others to establish his dominance. Not even if the bully is wracked with insecurities on the inside.

I think a better way to phrase it is simply men with a large void of masculine qualities aren't desirable to women. They might lack one or another and make up for it, but the groups of guys known for not being attractive or enchanting to women are largely not masculine.

No one is going to be pining over a 23 year old college drop out girl with depression, anxiety and no social life if she never meets anyone or never steps outside her comfort zone.

I don't think all nice guys are weak, what do you mean by weak anyway? If someone is a nice guy and then slowly changes his attitude, is he gaining strength, or is he just changing as a person, as everyone does?

I'm not a "nice guy" but I definitely put women on a pedestal unintentionally. People I am interested in I struggle to find faults with, so i never know if they are SO material. I get absorbed with how they make me feel, who they are is less of the concern just being around them. I know this is wrong, but I don't think it means I'm weak it means I lack exposure to girls I'm interested in. It's intense interest now but I'll get used to it, there is no strength needed here to beat this. Weakness in humans is a weird thing to measure, and I think a wrong angle to talk about gender issues because of it.

It's social conditioning. In the US, strong, buff men are seen as the hottest and most desirable. I don't think that's such a big thing in Asia. There are too many guys who use unhealthy protein powders to "achieve" a big, strong look. It often makes them uglier, IMO.

Researchers like to claim that it's evolutionary. That seems like an excuse - you're puny and weak, and that's that. Too bad. Researchers like to claim that humans are wired to like big, tall men from the early days.

People just need to push themselves away from the social conditioning that's been driven into us all our lives. Small, slight men should be pretty and desirable, too. Sports and a macho look shouldn't be so desirable. And nerdy interests, like reading video games, tech, science - that shouldn't be seen as so undesirable.

"Weak" men are just guys with enough to lose but not enough to leverage it into power. It all comes down to money, once again. You think the average joe walking around wouldn't relish the chance to stand up and take what he wants? He cant, cause he has to keep his job and wants his relative "freedom". He cant fight back anymore, at least, not without being left destitute or thrown in a cell to be gangraped. There are consequences to fighting back, hence more weakness.

You wanna see "weak" men be strong? Level the playing field so money cant buy protection and render bitch ass badges meaningless, and watch how strong a man can be without restriction.

I hate mentally weak people. Psychical weakness is not something I really care about though. I'm a tough person to deal with because my values are strong and I stand up for myself, I don't shy away from taking risks and facing challenges. Weak people of any gender are disgusting to me. I disagree strongly that weak men are undesirable. I'm a weak man myself, just so you know. I'll explain why below.

This seems to be your basic premise, which comes out of nowhere, and I believe is false. The reason, I think, is that you don't really understand weak men.

Weak men are a very diverse group that are weak for different reasons. Some don't want to be strong, others don't feel they have time, other don't feel they have the capacity, others aren't healthy enough to be strong, others are genetically weaker than other men (because they're very little, for example, or because of some condition). There is nothing unifying weak men, people in general are weak for different reasons.

Personally, I don't really go the gym much because I feel I have other things to do with my time that are more important to me.

What points you to believe that weak men don't value themselves? I value myself. Many weak people value themselves. People can value quite a lot of things on a person: being kind, being steadfast, being witty, being loyal, being smart, being good at driving cars, being good at what they like, which can be anything. You don't have to be strong for any of these.

Which brings me to my next thing.

why would a woman want a man like that?

Because again, you don't understand that people are different and they like different things. Some women like their partners tall and strong and whatnot, others might like them short and round, or they might like them because they know a lot about wine, or because they're great in bed, or at puns.

It sounds as if you like strong men. Good for you. There's a lot of people who are not like you, and you angrily declaring that what you like is universal, doesn't make these people disappear. They exist and you don't understand them, and you should get some perspective.

Weak men are undesirable because of a simple reason: throughout the history of humankind, women have had the kind of extreme demands on their bodies that men do not.

Constant pregnancy/childbirth/breastfeeding are simultaneously the most extreme and important things a body can go through.

If a man, whose body undergoes none of those things, is weak, then he can't assist the woman.
