Why is Belle Delphine praised while Logan Paul is shunned?

Most people have only heard of Logan Paul due to the forest incident and have no idea about everything else he does. That incident alone is enough to have a negative opinion of him.

Similarly, most people have only heard about Belle Delphine due to shenanigans like selling bathwater.

If I have to compare those two things, posting a video of a suicide victim's dead body for ad revenue and entertainment is definitely incomparably worse than selling bathwater (which I don't even consider a bad thing).

They both suck, but IIRC, he was starting a bunch of ruckus and shit, and was just a dickhead in general. What she's doing is super sad, but it's legal as hell. Logan Paul is self centered. It came out in his vlogs and "jokes". He uses other people's misery in order to obtain views and likes. And when fans don't like it, he makes a half assed apology that skirts around his responsibility.

Now I am not sure if he sells products. For all I know he could have some dumb pranking toy out there, like a giant smelly fish to throw at people like he has done.

Belle Delphine does not prank people. She's a twitch streamer who is at home, dressed in a persona that she enjoys and viewers drink it up. The bath water product was originally a one off comment, but mostly men were jumping up on the idea, so she did it. And sold out. Now, people are saying that she used lonely men to her advantage, and it could come off that way. And people say that it was more than it should have been, but I'm an artist, if I have only 3 copies of a painting, I will price them higher than a photograph, due to supply being low but demand being high.

Honestly, Logan Paul is a terrible choice for comparison. Why not Jacksepticeye and Markiplier putting together a company called Cloak? Or Rosanna Panisino having 2 cookbooks and a baking line released? How about the Try Guys and their simplistic designed line of products?

Logan Paul is just someone who treats himself first and sees his fans as gullible 5 year olds who laugh at violence. Belle Delphine knew what she was doing and was pretty open about it too, so she could come off as bitchy for it, but she's done nothing as bad as Logan Paul.

i don't think belle delphine is targeting children as much as she's targeting lonely, sad men. does that make it right? who knows. but it's not really a fair comparison. i don't think such a comparison would ever exist, because women aren't ever going to be sexually frustrated enough to buy a man's bath water.

She's not necessarily getting praise or encouragement. It's more of a little chuckle followed by 'would people actually buy that? Lol okay'. People go to her sites and what not to buy it, she doesn't shove it in people's, or children's, faces.

Logan Paul had primarily a prank channel where he just basically harassed people who were just minding their own business. Of course there were people then who said 'lol, who cares, it's not like he's actually physically harming someone'. After the suicide vid a lot of those people who used to be indifferent reacted with a 'wait, this is not okay. At all' because nearly everyone gets confronted with suicide in their lifetime, either first hand or second/third/forth hand.

That's the main reason why there's such a backlash against Logan Paul, not because he's a man. If Belle went ahead and made one of her weird videos in that forest and included a suicide victim like Paul did, the backlash would (at the very least) be the same.

Just, Don't fuck with suicide (victims), people don't tend to like that.

I think it's cause Belle Delphine isn't really hiding her intentions with respect to selling content. Her paid content is also clearly 18+ and while I'm not dumb enough to assume that kids aren't following her (they clearly are), it's much harder for a kid to convince their parents to give them money for merch from a softcore pornstar than for merch from what's essentially some dude.

Now Logan's content also is not really for kids in terms of appropriateness either, but at a glance an obnoxious loud 20-something youtuber is very different to a scantily-clad chick who fills up her content with suggestive innuendo if not outright sexual themes.

Is there a double standard here for men and women? Take advantage of of emotionally vulnerable people and be praised if you're a women but be shunned if you are a guy.

This is a good point here, is there a double standard? At a glance it may look like yes, there is. They both sell products, and the audience of their products are a younger crowd. I think the direction of content is the defining feature here. There's no question that Belle Delphine's content is aimed at adults, and that Logan's is aimed at kids. For example, Logan actively censors out swearing in his videos and Belle's Instagram posts are chockfull of lewd outfits, nipple pasties, and 90% of her skin being visible.

This is a big deal, see the problem is that there are specific advertising laws regarding marketing to kids specifically because kids have power over getting their parents to buy them stuff. There's a huge difference between saying "Mom I want one of these sweaters" and saying "Mom I want some gamer girl bathwater or hell literally anything from her store".

tl;dr - most people assume parents are smart enough to see that Belle Delphine makes adult content and they are less likely to spend money on her stuff for their kids.

Even before that you wouldn't find one upvoted comment saying good on Logan Paul for manipulating those idioits into giving him money.

People are never mad at logan or jake making a profiut from their child audience, because that's what over 50% of all YouTubeers or online personas are pandering too. They're mad at them for being big influences to children while being notorious assholes, which creates an idea of them being role models for kids.

Hell Shane Dawsons series on jake paul alone does not paint him in the best light as he lied to shane, even tho he got "redeemed" at the end, he then went onto to continue his assholeish antics.

I think that it’s not politically incorrect to take advantage of sex crazed men and make money off of them. The cultural narrative is that men should be settling down into monogamous relationships and having families, not obsessing over Instagram women. This situation is not as clear cut as you want it to be.

The simple answer is that Belle is a hot girl and people generally don't hate them as much due to several observed psychological effects, but this answer just takes into consideration the sex of the two people involved which is not even a quarter of the story.

Logan Paul is a certified douchebag who has done incredible shitty things (faking being shot in front of his audience of children for example) and is in general a nuisance. He is also pretty dumb and doesn't know how to hide it. Most of his success is due to his brother Jake who while a smaller douchebag than him is really smart with the business side of things and has masterfully manoeuvred the youtube landscape to maximise growth and profits.

Belle Delphine is not a douchebag from my limited knowledge about her and instead just takes pictures where she capitalises on her good looks. This is generally agreed upon as acceptable and most young people these days who would know these two persons wouldn't hold it against her. The whole bath water thing started out as a joke that she pushed far enough, because who wouldn't? For intents and purposes it is a scam, but it isn't a veiled scam. If people want to waste their money, that's their problem.

So, you have an influencer who sells useless things to a relatively mature audience (theoretically, her content is aimed at adults not kids) and a youtube douchebag who sells merch to kids. The vast majority of people don't even think about the merchandise as problematic.

Now, the Paul brother's audience is primarily made up of children and their content is specifically aimed at children. Add to that some subtle psychological manipulation where they make the kids think that their merch is the only thing that makes you cool and you have a horrible combination. This can be described as preying on children's insecurities and while in a morally dark grey area, it still seems to be accepted and even applauded in capitalism.

Simply put, the two cases are not really comparable and even though what Belle is doing is also preying on insecure people, the age difference for the target audience makes it less reprehensible.

I said this in a other thread on PPD yesterday, that girl might make six figures at the most this year because of the bath water. Her little girl cosplayer routine can only last so long because she's a teenager. So unless she does hardcore XXX content or really hustles to do more than sell nonsense like Jessica Nigri. Jessica has been at it for like a decade, but she does voice acting, modeling, events, and other shit not just video streaming. After a decade Jessica has a net worth if maybe 1mil, which yes is a lot of money but she had to play the social media and hot girl game for a decade everyday and not do stupid shit like bathwater. If Belle doesn't hustle and only does what she does right now...she has a couple years tops, and will probably only make like 40-50k a year at the most before having to make serious changes including but not limited to a new industry.

That all being said...I think the little girl would probably be shunned by normal people, but not in the same light. Hardcore liberals under the guise of feminism might praise her out of fear of being called a slut shaming misogynist, but not out of genuine belief she's strong, smart, or whatever.
