I’ve dated a girl like this, it’s rough for both sides. One side latches and is going to want to die if you go - that’s their problem, to be sure. But they’ll hang it over you, not because they don’t love you, they love you in such a twisted way that they can’t love themselves without someone else there with them.

They’ll be incredibly loyal in your presence, though if you work it might not be enough. At some point they have to go get some sort of connection supply. You know how a baby might be a bit upset that their father has to go to work, and they’re understandably upset as a child because they don’t understand?

It’s a little like that. So they seek it elsewhere, because not having it reminds them of abandonment, they’re not secure that you won’t leave them. It’s an object permanence thing. Obviously they know “this person is at work”, but to them it’s just “They’re not here. They’re gone. They don’t exist, they died, they vanished, oh god!”. It’s an emotional thing, they can know and tell you “I know you’re at work”, but they just need so much love.

They’re easy to be pulled into too. “Girls don’t wanna be saved”, but these ones are basically the exceptions - but they can never be saved. They have to save themselves. They have to learn to love themselves, and know they’re lovable, so they need it actively all the time. It’s like a plant that needs an infinitely pouring watering can.

It can’t be done, no matter how much love you have to give. It’s not because of you, it’s because of them. I find these types to be the most tragic people on Earth. They want love so badly that they end up destroying it for themselves. They love the feeling of being loved, it’s almost like they feel they can love themselves, and then they feel they can’t - so the push it away and wreck YOU emotionally by accident. They’re scared of their own emotions, and fall victim to them, which causes more emotions, it’s just a singularity at that point, and they become a blackhole.

Depression is infectious, and this is a depression they’re addicted to fixing by loving others, not themselves. It’s a love sick puppy sort of thing, makes me want to cry. But they trap people with suicide, or pregnancy traps, or they get together with people that are bad for them. And those people work perfectly for them, it feeds both supplies they’re looking for. Feeling “loved” by someone, and then feeling they get the hate they believe deserve from themselves by the other person, get isolated and love the abuser.

They are vulnerable, and volatile in relationships. They will make you vulnerable and put you in a volatile situation if you ever want to leave. Not because they necessarily want to control you maniacally as consciously doing evil, but because they’re so hurt inside that they see it as having no choice but to hurt others because they feel the most hurt. Because their hurt is bottomless.

Dangerous characters. Don’t stick your dick in crazy. These types are a landmine for most and themselves, and a goldmine for an unsavoury few.
