Couple of opinions based on my experience with my ex: - this girl is looking for attention. She’s telling you about going out w another dude bc she want to see if she can get a reaction out of u, if u do react negatively then she knows you want her bad and her ego inflates.

the fact that she’s suddenly being cold to you might mean she did infact go out w some dude and he might’ve been a bigger simp who did give her the validation she wants. So she’ll stick w that dude until she gets bored.

I could be completely wrong though, but this is my experience with girls who behave the way you explained.
