maybe its a stupid question but, how do you lead the conversation after saying hello, for example:

me: Hello i just saw you and etc

girl: Hi, nice to meet you my name is whatever

me: ...

I just don't know yet how to carry on the conversation after, any tips?

This is a great tactic, but how often do you find women that are actually alone? My biggest reason for not going up to women is because they are usually with someone or a group.

I say 'you look nice and friendly' instead of saying she is beautiful. complimenting her off the bat frames it so you are qualifying yourself. as always, ymmv.

OP posts his go-to tactic that works for him and he wants to share it with the community but 90% of the comments here are like 'better do this and that instead' or even say that he is doing it wrong or it would only work for super hot guys...

I am sure OP read Mark Manson's Models, because he applies what is written in that book:

He is honest with his intentions without forcing it and he is not coming over needy because he is outcome independent and does it in a casual way. It is very natural that the first intention for a man to approach a woman are her looks and a true man CAN make compliments without the fear of losing value. Also it makes clear that he doesn't want to be a platonic friend but rather has 'romantic' intentions and that gives her a possibility to say no - which in turn weeds out the flakes effectively for him.

However, I am sure all the naysayers and pedants here will not affect OP in what or how he is doing it after all...

To be honest, I used a similar approach with one of the hottest girls I've ever picked up. I went straight up to her and just said, "I like your style." And went from there.

In a daygame-like context:

"Hey, you look nice and friendly. I came to see if you're interesting. Are you interesting?" Or...

"Hey, you look fun/nice/friendly and interesting. Are you interesting?"

It's a non-threatening, easy-going, laid back opener, with a question that presses her not only to speak but to qualify herself to you.

And always remember, most of this is subcommunication (body language). Square up, smile, laugh, maintain eye contact, find any excuse to touch (a little goes a long way). All of this is more important than the lines.

There's so much wrong with this approach. Look, if it's getting this guy results then fair enough (a rough stats breakdown would be good WITH outcomes), although if it'd going so well I'd assume there's some unaccounted for variable, like the dude's super handsome or the girls aren't too hot.

But anyway, firstly, girls are not looking to be hit on when they're going about their day and will take a dim view of your forceful approaches. So before you get a roll on with your line you've already set off her warning system for random guys chatting her up. Indirect is way better because she doesn't notice she's being chatted up till it's too late and she's already invested in the interaction.

Ultimately, with your direct approach, you're just gonna be judged on your attractiveness and that's it, and all the tonality/micro-calibration/body language won't make a blind bit of difference.

I hate "lines" and "tactics" but "structural" stuff that Mystery created really works, it should evolve like it did but we should not cut it off as wrong because there was a reason to not compliment a girl in the very begining. A hot girl won't stop for a guy who tells her she's beautiful and if there are players every day in the small area then even an averagely-cute girl will act like a very desirable model. I'm making a generalisation of course but it really isn't as simple as saying your "line". Some people will not be able to stop any girl with that and therefore no time to create anything out of this random encounter.

edit: most of the time I used it and it's great because it's simple but there are way better ways. I'm a fan of mixing in a bit of "tricks" and good old structure into it but still going as natural as possible.

So a lot of negative responses to this post. But is this not great advice for somebody dipping their toes into the water? Doing plenty of these approaches will at least get you out of the zone of not approaching and you will eventually figure out what works for you. I'm still stuck in my own head and have used this recently before I even seen this post. Its like the first building block being placed down in a complex idea.

If only it were that easy. The main issue with this approach is that she has probably heard this several times before, and if she is really attractive, she has probably heard it a thousand times before.

Obviously this is better than nothing. I have gotten laid off of something similar to this when I was in college because women are more insecure and a bit more desperate for male attention and sexual validation -- plus a lot of younger guys just don't have the balls to do something like this. But realize that what you are doing here is passively making yourself available in case she happens to be attracted to you. The subtext is along the lines of, "hey, I'm a nice normal guy who isn't a psycho and isn't desperate or needy and I would like to be added to your long list of nice normal guys that you could potentially date and maybe even have sex with if no one extraordinary comes along." Your results (responses maybe dates but no sex) are consistent with the line that you are using.

Apart from being cliche, it is also a bit formal, and formalities have a strong correlation with dry vaginas. You want her to feel like she has known you all your life not like you are the guy handing out appetizers at a cocktail party. As early in the interaction as possible, you want to be perceived as a sexual threat. Some guys go to great lengths to achieve that, but I think it can be done much more subtly. You don't necessarily want to come out and say something that directly indicates you are a sexual threat, but you do want to stimulate her mind and perhaps her body from the get-go.

So you could do something like that, or hopefully when you get over your yips, you could open with something more original, more casual, more intimate, more jarring and just all around more evocative. Make it so that she will have a hard time forgetting you, and watch the results increase.

I would do things a bit differently. I only introduce myself if she asked for my name. I would also be very flexible and adaptive on what I find attractive about her and go from there. Nowadays I just set a date for the future on the spot then text our numbers and names.

There was another post her saying to take a selfie with her to your number on her phone. I'll have to try that.

Interesting, I wonder if you would get the same results without calling her beautiful. Imagine you're 7ft tall, what is the first thing you say to that person: God you're really tall. If she is truly beautiful she gets a strange man doing that to her all the time. I think you can be just as successful as noticing something in the environment and not be fake about it. The game that is playing in the background, the music you're listening to.

I think you're very smart for getting her number and making plans immediately after. You may find more success if you make the date more immediate. "You seem interesting and I am hungry, lets grab a bite."

Direct is ok, but beautiful is a very risky word I would generally not advocate using. It can come off as creepy with some women who would have responded to a more casual direct approach.

I'm kind of against asking them, "Would you be interested in...?" I don't like to give them a "no" option. I would just hand them my phone and straight up say, "Hey, put your number in my phone and I'll buzz ya!" Obviously if they don't respond, you move on, but they love the assertive straight forwardness. No more yes/no options.

Weird possibly stupid question. Would this work at work? I work at a convenience store during the night shift all week. Once in a while these girls come in who I think are kind of attractive and have been wanting to ask one of them out. I have ever done this before.
