You might not realize this but there is comfort in telling yourself things are futile. If you can convince yourself things are truly hopeless it means you don't have to try, and you don't have to bear the burden of responsibility.

The bigger issue is everyone's standards are too high. Average Joe out here trying to bag a 9 when he should be looking for a 5 who can cook a 3 course meal and suck the chrome off a ball hitch. I honestly see OP as someone without the will to put the effort on himself to grow and change and the way to compensate that is to say that the game is rigged. If he's happy, well, we can't change that. But I think he's terribly wrong.

This sub is about self development aimed to increase your chances to beat the game. No one said it would be easy. And of course, you have to have fun on the path, you want to really love what you do, like hit the gym because it makes you happy etc.

The three years since we've split it's been nothing but dry conversations with people that aren't at all that interested and being ghosted on the apps. Interesting observation about pre-internet days. Approaching a girl who only has a small circle is definitely more effective before
Most of the guys online also have no communication skills. They say the same things "hey hows it going" and "you're gorgeous". Ask any decently looking female friend and you'll see.
Cold approaching is tough but it gives you the skill set to learn proper communication within a dating context which will help on a date / in a relationship
You have to be more selective about where and who you approach these days to get a ROI on your time, as online dating with a proper profile is also very efficient

You just never know until you say hi. 2 of my loves came from cold approaching. IMHO, anyone who says cold approach doesnt work havent seen it done or hasnt done it properly. Your ability to connect with someone you dont know is a skill set that will benefit you the rest of your life.
While the internet / technology has made it easier to "go for the top" (We see data showing top 20% of men get 79% of the women on dating apps), it's important to note that most men have no skills online. They say the same things and get away with a high margin of error due to looks. But you talk to these girls and they get bored of these guys very quickly. Proper communication within a dating context is a skill set. Learning how to market, attract and connect with your ideal partner online and offline is a skillet. There's nothing wrong with wanting to improve that.

OP go take a bootcamp, this sub does the best it can but teaching game online is very difficult without seeing the person in action because of blind spots so the advice here can be pretty meh because of that, but the best way to learn game after reading a lot of books is to have a coach look at you through a boot camp and immersion program, I went to one and it made a HUGE difference, they can be pricy but can shave years of learning game off, do not say game does not work without actually putting in any attempts at it
