When I was 18, waiting in line at a Phish show, 2 girls kept pinching my butt around my asshole. It was awful but what could I possibly have done? The police would have laughed me out of the station in favor of dealing with "real" crime (for example the same exact crime with the genders reversed). This sickens me beyond words. As a woman and a humanitarian, or just a human in general, I am appalled the no one came to this boy's help. And here we have the problem. Instead of making this public with local authorities the author complains about it in a corner of the Internet that may as well be throw-away. As I said to someone else here, the fact that people somehow made the leap from what I said to "victim blaming" displays a remarkable desire to take offense at the slightest opportunity. I understand why this place has the reputation it does now. This looks like something that started as a joke and ended up going to far. I don't think I would call this sexual assault. I doubt the boy is scarred for life about this in fact he will probably joke about it with his friends. I think that the whole rape culture thing is bullshit but I think we have to choose our battles.

Everyone seems to keep going on about men being labeled pedophiles but honestly we need to take ownership and admit that 95% of pedophiles are men so yeah they are going to take the brunt of attacks on pedophiles. I think the statistic of women molesting or sexually assaulting a child under 16 is like 3% the other 97% of reported sexual assaults were by men. So not trying to trivialize it but to use it as a rallying point for Men's Rights does us no good. We should be pointing out that the men who behave that way are the minority and it's wrong to lump all men together as potential offenders.
