So, a common thing I keep tripping over is people (almost always male) explaining to me that the price of a libertine life for a woman is a decreased chance of securing "commitment".

This is also brought up as "men don't care about your achievements" to talk about doing this or that miscellaneous thing that improves your socioeconomic position won't help you find a partner.

My lived experience hasn't provided me with any frame of reference for this, so I thought I should ask:

What is the desirable man, in this case?

I know there's fairly fleshed out rubrics of bone structure and height and what have you that I have seen men worry about. But outside of the physicality, could you expand here?

And ideally, but not so much via celebrities or fictional characters, could you explain the ideal plausible partner one is targeting at?
