Women don’t get left by “Chads”.

Women initiate 70% of divorces. https://www.psychologytoday.com/ca/blog/the-new-resilience/201508/women-initiate-divorce-much-more-men-heres-why?amp

So the idea that we’re getting married to and subsequently left by hot rich men is false.

Income isn’t a factor: women initiate 70% of divorces across the board. And after 200k income, the divorce curve is pretty much flat.

Women aren’t dating men who are significantly more attractive in general: couples tend to look alike. Or richer: they have similar socioeconomic status https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/05/03/the-real-reason-some-people-end-up-with-partners-who-are-way-more-attractive/

So when someone says “women date Chads and then settle for some shmuck” they’re either saying women who look like themselves date or sleep with way hotter guys than both of them, and then find a partner of similar attractiveness.

Or they’re offended by the fact that you might become more attracted to someone just by knowing them for a long time: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/0956797615579273

Which is the more superficial attitude in your opinion?

Dating some people based on looks and noticing others based on their personality and how long you’ve known them?

Or being so jealous of people who are noticed only for their looks that you talk yourself out of a relationship with someone you really like?

It’s clear that many men are more attracted to personality than looks (it’s not just women who end up dating an unattractive long term friend) and it’s also clear that a lot of people stay with their spouse long term regardless of changing looks.

If “Chads” are superficial jerks who take off the minute a person doesn’t look like they’re 17 anymore…

Then maybe we need to expand the definition of “Chad” to include a larger section of the manosphere and a lot of women, to boot.
