Plenty of "normal", "average" guys have sex and relationships, without being mega rich, looking like a movie star, and writing the rulebook on "game".

With that said, I think confidence and self-esteem are incredibly important, given we have to do the approaching, we don't have the option (generally) of sitting back and waiting to get asked out. We must believe, however many times or the ways in which we get rejected, that we are worth getting with. We have to project that, we have to know how to make it happen.

Without the ability to do that (and I say this from experience), you're essentially fucked, and not in the good way. It can leave you without friends, single, lonely, and depressed, which only compounds the issue and makes you feel even more hopeless.

This, of course, can contribute to premature death, either self-inflicted or due to stress-related conditions. It's said that loneliness is equivalent in harm to smoking, which is universally agreed to be a scourge on public health.

OP, on some day when you have a bit of free time, head over to an outdoor cafe in a shopping center or something. Order a coffee, bring a book, whatever. And then just people watch. You'll see that plenty of the men you see with women aren't even good looking. Some of them are ugly. On a bell curve, 68% of men will fall in the slightly under average to slightly over average range. About 14% of men will be solidly under average, 2% straight ugly, and .1% on a different level of ugly. On the other side 14% of them will be solidly over average, 2% very good looking, and .1% will be gods among men.

It's frankly ridiculous to say that only the upper 16% of men have any chance with women. Empirical evidence will show that plenty of men in the bottom percentiles will do fine with women. Why? They've worked on how they played the game. They found a way to talk to women.

Now don't get me wrong. You're unlikely to land a woman who looks like a movie star if you're truly in the bottom percentiles. Leagues exist and it's a sad fact of life. But with some work on your appearance and how you talk to women, and you can have a wonderful relationship with a truly great person.

I've personally never gone for those things specifically. So I would say it is absolutely possible to get a girl without money, looks, status, game etc.

I've had boyfriends in the past that I financially supported because they didn't work and I did. I drove and they didn't. They weren't considered "all that" in looks and ESPECIALLY not game and I didn't care at all. We had fun, gamed together, watched shows, enjoyed music, blablabla.

Honestly, not all girls give any kind of a fuck about looks or status or anything. Some girls just look for a connection.

Depends on where you live. Where I grew up, there were plenty of men without any status or good looks having children and wives. Mind you the wives didn't have any status or looks, either, but that's average people for you. The correlation I noticed is that the internet became part of more and more people's lives, social media and dating apps took off and the new generations' success in relationships started declining. I'm pretty sure it skews the perception of people so bad they expect immediate success and of course perfection, plus shit like women having to marry up, nobody ever settling, never working on relationships instead just ditching people when the first issues come along because "there's always somebody else", etc. Many people are waiting for the "right person" "meant for them" so much they ignore every match passing by and many will never find anybody. But so far it's not a universal phenomenon.

Just keep trying, that's the best you can do. And improve, slowly, naturally. Don't have to force it, instead try and reach the point where you feel good or at least not bad about yourself. Barring unlikely events like winning the lottery, there's not much anybody can do.

I know what happens I was that guy. I never had a girlfriend past 2 weeks my whole life only dated a total of 4 women. I was in my mid 20s. Still a virgin and hopeless. I was really giving up on ever having a relationship with a woman. I started online dating and just talking to women that most men might not look at. Just talking because I was in the army over seas at the time. I talked to one in particular a lot. She is good looking but a little on the heavy side and the same situation as me as in very little to no dating experience. When I came home from the army we started dating then after 2 years married now it’s 13 years later and we have kids. We’re not perfect but we don’t hate each other. I have a couple other friends who are good men but can’t get dates either. They are like me in personality and age late 30s. They have just straight up given up on women and don’t give a fuck about them. Sure they’ll take one home if they can but they don’t care about dating at all.

Keep working on yourself though. Since I got married and started working out and getting successful with money it’s a blast to have these hoes from high school and college freshly divorced and looking for some simp captain save a hoe try to get me and I just turn them down. Happened 2 times over the years. To be on the other end of the rejection is great.

Especially online, you are probably competing in a form of twisted battle royale where men to women are a 10/1 rate. This is compounded by the fact that men are generally more open to liking someone before initiating contact. Women also tend to swipe fewer times, but because of the amount of men usually have way to many matches. She can replace your convo with another without even answering you. So you'll have to stand out to get a match, in her preffered way. And if you say some off color stuff (like this post, as women are quite quick to call someone an incel). So whats a broke man without experience and status to do?

find someone really honest and close to you, and get them to absolutly destroy you with facts and logic about your good qualities. Physically, and personality wise. Confidence is key, and starting with finding out what qualities YOU have that makes YOU awesome is a great start. This can also help you to find ways to show it off better. Like i am 184cm, yet i slouch alot. I was also haunted by anxiety, so i intentionally wore big clothes to look smaller, and usually almost hid away.
Be physical. I dont mean Live at the Gym sucking off bros for bro-protein gains. But be active in some way. Great for health, great for peace of mind, and you wont sound like an asthmatic goat after 40 secounds of activity (like me). I got a dog, and i've found that as a single guy he keeps me active, calm, makes me look kind, and is the best wingman i've ever had. It will also help with your physical shape, which can further enhance your good qualities.

Disregard any and all advice. Because the right girl is going to find you for who you are attractive. It can come from an online conversation, that coffeeshop girl u left a small note for saying "i find u cute, want to chat? If not, i wont bring it up again, but if you do, here is my number". It can be found at a bar, in a friendgroup, anywhere. 1-4 is only a few forms of advice to engage and be seen more easily. Some qualities and interests also tend to be more unique, more popular or similar. Confidence is by far the most attractive feature to many. So build yourself up, King. The only thing you listed that you actually need to meet and date a very nice girl is game. And you want to have a realistic view of what “game” or “rizz” is. You don’t have to have the confidence of a superstar or the looks either. You can be the nerdiest dude alive and still have a girl that thinks you’re awesome and charming. There’s just a few things to keep in mind:

1 - the dating market is very tough for everyone right now - men, women, and others. Especially if you are looking for something meaningful, long term, and mature.

2 - you want to learn to accept when you are single. You aren’t entitled to anyone’s attention, just like nobody is entitled to yours.

3 - Just ask. If you want to date somebody, ask them. Don’t torture yourself forever trying to decide if you should. The worst they can say is no. And this should go without saying but if you get a “no”, do not try to romantically engage them again. You have your answer at that point.

4 - Learn to be uncomfortable. If you’re in a relationship, any good partner will call you out on some of your flaws. Don’t just remain a walking red flag - HEAR the advice of others. If you argue, don’t yell or shut them out coldly. Good communication is the #1 issue I’ve had in my relationships, and it’s the one i have to work the hardest on. I used to get beat for talking about my feelings, and this had an effect on communication. Don’t let your issues ruin your love life if you can help it.

5 - You may not find your partner where you would expect, like a coffee shop or dating site. Find something to do, join a forum or server, and talk to people. If there’s someone you’re interested in, talk to them and find out if you like them.

6 - Consider your standards. They should not be physical. Try to think “I want someone who is honest, trustworthy, and kind” rather than whatever physical traits are appealing to you.

7 - Do what works for you. Don’t spend hours researching pick up lines or pretending to be a way you’re not. Men who don't have at least one of these traits needs to get to work in my opinion and don't do it for women, do it for yourself. In my 20s, I was a gym rat and spent at least a decade and it paid off as it kept me out of trouble as well. Didn't have much money or status, still got the bitches. Now in my 30s, still do not care about status and focused more on the money side. Working out and light sparring really helped me in so many ways, there's more to it than just looking good.

I think what's really important above all those is how you treat yourself and would treat her. Respect, humor, confidence, empathy, trust etc. Those are key traits that last when money, status and looks fade.

First make sure you're happy and content by yourself before you take time to find the right person. Otherwise your just bringing another person into your own unhappiness, and that won't go well. Know yourself. Make sure you can own up to your strengths and weaknesses and know that you have value. If you can't accept yourself then you're going to get frustrated or hurt easily. That will create resentment, which is guaranteed to make things harder.

Be aware of your own mindset as well. If you perceive the person you're dating as somebody you're trying to outsmart or play games with to get them to like you, then stop. You've got the wrong mindset.

Be your best self, be honest, reflect often, and don't dwell on what doesn't work out.

These are absolutely not requirements. You gotta ask yourself what you’re looking for. Of course you have to sustain the bare minimum. But there are a lot of women who are shallow and only look for these things. It’s always worth changing the pool you’re looking at.

It’s very possible your internal state, values beliefs etc are not compatible with where you’re finding women. Some food for thought. I have more thoughts but this is about it.

It’s actually : Looks > Status (or more likely perceived status) > Money.

So if you’re good looking enough, looks are enough (being in the top 20% of looks gets you a very good dating life, top 5 % even more)

Now, « status » can be anything. Being a high school athlete is a status for example.

Being a fireman as well.

PS : in the poor countries, money is such an incentive that money comes actually first since life with money is way better. Whereas in the middle class and above of the developped countries, « everybody’s rich » so women don’t need money that much.

When I was much younger I used to work as a security officer in a shopping mall, one of my colleague back then was a 40 years old man, possibly 1m60, a bit overweight and he looked like Triffon Tournesol from the Tintin Comic Book. He was also living with his mother, I remember him telling me that due to his look and situation the only way for him to get to enjoy things was to rent psleeve for 1h.
