Record conversations with her. Start recording on your phone and walk up to her and start casual conversation and then eventually dip into “Were you serious when you said you were going to accuse me of a crime that never happened?” And follow up with things like “why would you accuse me of something you know I never did?” “What are you trying to get out of falsely accusing me of a crime?” “Why are you considering accusing me of something I never did ?” “do you honestly think that I did this to you?”

Unfortunately, this might not be legally available to you if you live in a “two party“ or “all party“ recording consent state. Which includes Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington state, and possibly Michigan, and Oregon, though the last two are mixed, because they were results of court decisions, and not state legislation.

If you are in a two party recording consent state, never interact with her one on one again (this is actually probably best no matter where you live) Block her number, her phone, her emails, all her social media. In fact, it’s probably best to inactivate or delete all of your social media for the time being (so that she can’t tag you in some kind of exposé post).

Only ever approach her with a trusted adult who is listening intently and will attest to that conversation in court.

My main point is, when somebody threatens you like this, the friendship is over. It cannot be repaired. They have threatened to falsely accuse you of a very serious crime that could potentially ruin your life. You need to cut this person out of your life just as a surgeon cuts a tumor out of a patient. This person is dangerous to the rest of your life, just like untreated cancer is dangerous to the rest of the human body.

I'd add that if she's in your friend group, the group needs to know what she's said to you. She could easily target other guys in the group or subtly convince them of your guilt. If they're your friends, they should be willing to help you to avoid being alone with her.

Distance and document. Nothing will probably happen, but install a track-and-log app on your phone so that your accurate position is recorded every minute or five. If you can prove you were 5 miles away when she said you were with her, that's helpful. Selfies in recognisable backgrounds are pretty useful too.

Where is this located? Job? University? College? Make a report to HR or a counsellor. Write down as much details as you can remember, especially time, date and location. If you have any witnesses, ask them to support your claims. Do your best to secretly record video or audio evidence of her threats if it happens again. If you have evidence and/or witnesses that you were threatened, life will be far easier to deal with any false accusations made about you.

Document as much evidence as possible of your avoiding her, any threats she has made or harassment against you, document asking her to leave you alone and not talk to you or approach you, document telling all of your mutual friends or acquaintances that you are avoiding her and have asked her not to have anything to do with you. Be formal and polite with all of it, and make sure everyone knows that you are avoiding her like the plague. If you’re lucky, she will be dumb enough to try and escalate the situation, which then gives you documented proof of her harassing you. You can use that to file a restraining order and show the entire social group that she is a threat to you.

And of course don't touch her, don't even think of it, no matter what she threatens.
And, I'd probably be sure and check/clear it with lawyer/attorney - but if she's threatening to accuse you of rape - that's a threat, and may be something you can report to police and get on file ... not that they'd necessarily do sh*t about it, but if you've had zero sexual contact with her, and she goes running to the police claiming rape - she's got zero evidence other than whatever lies she can manage to tell, etc. ... well, having reported such a threat first might put you in a somewhat better position. And yeah, save relevant records/evidence in any case.

We need a little more context here. Are you in school? College? There are administrators you can report this behavior to if so. I would start a paper trail immediately and let it be documented as harassment.

Typically the first person to initiate these sorts of procedures has the advantage so I would go to your counselor or administrators and report the behavior immediately. At minimum this will keep a paper trail on the situation and establish a relationship with the people she might go to.

I had a girl do this 5 months ago, she hooked up with me and she wanted to see me, she wanted to be physical more than me.. then after I noticed she was kind of a sketchy character I told her I'd like to stop and she tried to accuse me of taking advantage of her and that no one would believe me and all kinds of crap.. she literally was only going to accuse me if we stopped hooking up... it didn't even make sense. As if that is a way to stay in someone's life. I did exactly what I said here, and just didn't allow any conversation to happen and told her if she was serious I'd get a lawyer and I had a bunch of texts showing she was the predator on the situation and she backed off.

Just be careful and don't lash out, play it safe keep a distance and any threat she makes screen shot and just email to yourself or save to your phone.

Record the conversation. It's worth noting that exculpatory evidence might be accepted by the even if the recording was illegal due to two-party consent laws (ask your lawyer before using it, though).

Otherwise the state would knowingly make itself responsible for false imprisonment. If the defendant can demonstrate that the evidence in question is authentic, relevant, and exculpatory, and that the admission of that evidence is necessary to prevent a wrongful conviction, the judge may be likely to consider admitting the evidence.

So think what is worse: the sentence for a rape you didn't commit, or for an illegal recording that you demonstrably did out of necessity?

Record, regardless of the law. Only publish the record if it is definitely legal or your lawyer advises you to.

My fun advice would be, record that than keep it

Than provoke her latter (don't mention the record)

See if she accused you of rape, if she really did keep hiding the record and provoke her to take it to police

If she do go to the trial, keep hide it to the last moment you could. Than reveal it

Ofcourse if she didn't take it to the police take the record to you freinds or school, just see how much was she sick so the severity are propotional to it.
