Well, there are two kinds of hypocrisy:

"Do as I say, not as I do," i.e. something is acceptable behavior for one person, but not another.
"This is a value that we should all aspire to, but none of us can fully live up to for reasons of simple humanity," i.e. perfect honesty, which would be seriously problematic.

Hypocrisy is "rules for thee, but not for me," or double standards.

If someone says that another person must do X for them while they don't have to do X for anyone else, they're a hypocrite, or if doing X makes someone else a bad person but they aren't bad when they do X.

Women talking about their body positive thoughts but don’t like shorter men. Women not liking their partners looking at certain content online but they dress and act like that themselves.

Women saying no to traditional gender roles but won’t ask out or propose to men. The men has to make more money and be bigger so she can feel protected.

Hypocrisy is more like i agree with these things until is not convenient for me. For example, when women agree that everybody should have preferences on dating, until men have preferences in not wanting to date fat women or promiscuous women.

Those are examples of male hypocrisy. I am guessing that was your intent. To focus on male hypocrisy to bait men into providing examples of female hypocrisy that you already have glib, sarcastic answers for. But, to assume you want to discuss in good faith, pass me the ketchup - I'll bite.

Women are completely disgusted by any man who uses money or "stuff" to get sex but women use sex to get money or "stuff" all the time. In fact, women use sex to get pretty much anything they want at any time, and this is called "sexual autonomy" and don't you bloody DARE "slut shame" her for it. But, for men, there are only very specific circumstances that HE is "getting sex properly" and from what I've read here, it's about HER getting "proper street price" for putting out. Hypocrites.
Women complain a lot about "low effort" profiles on OLD apps by men, and what they deem to be lazy or underhanded approaches to meeting women. Yet, women treat men like a simple warehouse full of commodities they can thumb through on their phones like a bunch of cheap Alibaba products on Amazon. The difference is Alibaba products just have to be cheap and have 4 star or better reviews, whereas a man would need 100 hours in a day to write person-specific conversations and content to suit every woman he encounters, 98% of whom would reject him at first glance. So, men are forced to play a numbers game based solely on the realities of time constraints. If women faced similar circumstances, they would not only do the exact same thing, but the whining about it would be deafening. The gender that puts ZERO effort into approaching and pursuing has extraordinarily high standards, expectations and rules for the other. Hypocrites.
Women complain about men being in poor physical shape and all it takes is "a little exercise and moderation" to look like a shirtless soap star, as they waddle around in Size 16 Yoga pants with a coffee, sugar and whipped cream drink in each hand. Although a few "love me for my personality" men are running around, these men are the exception and not the rule. Most women have higher standards for their male partners than they do for themselves. Hypocrites.
Women still expect men to do the lions share of approaching and pursuing once contact is established, while being highly critical of men's methods of approaching and pursuing along with relentless criticism and social policing and shaming of men who so much as make a woman uncomfortable, as if that is a sort of heinous crime. Of course, women can say whatever they want at work and never be fired, and not be worried that "being too unattractive to be touching someone" can't get them in trouble. Hypocrites.
Women say they're financially independent now and "need no man" which would make you think that his income and social status would matter less but it does not. Women want a higher earning higher status male just as they always have. The difference is, when it's time for the child rearing years, or she's just disillusioned with corporate cubicle slavery, she can level-down her career to spend more time with kids or just "have a job that she loves". If a man came home and told his partner he was tired of the stress, he wanted to do something else he loved, and his new lower income would mean significant lifestyle changes, what would happen next proves my point here. Hypocrites.
Women have more sexual autonomy than ever and can have all kinds of different relationships with men, sexual and platonic alike, and whatever type of relationship SHE wants with him, he'll have to be receptive to or be immediately deemed a seething sexist asshole. A good example is the "we're friends now" rejection expectation. That a man she rejects sexually, who she was not close friends with before, somehow owes her the booby-prize of friendship (friends without benefits) and IF HE SHOULD REFUSE this counter-offer it's somehow proof "he only wanted her for sex". Yet, woman can play these exact games with men all the time with complete autonomy and go one step further and cry foul when they don't the kind of relationship they want from the man. Hypocrites.

Men and women are both hypocrites.

If you only want to make a list of shitty things one gender does, that's fine because it makes this place fun. But if you're suggesting only men are hypocrites in the SMP, then we'll have to agree to disagree.

I remember this discussion, will try sum it up.

Hypocrisy: Promiscuity is bad and everyone should be faithful and have 1 or few partners. The speaker however does not live up to this belief as they are promiscuous.

NOT hypocrisy: Women should not be promiscuous but men can be promiscuous. This is not hypocrisy but a double standard. If the speaker is a man, since all your given examples are referring to men, and this man is promiscuous but expects women not to be promiscuous, this is a double standard not hypocrisy as this man is living his beliefs.

We live in a culture which thrives on hypocrisy. I agree that it's where values don't match one's behavior, but it can also be defined as shifting one's stated principles in different situations.

For example, if someone states they believe in gender equality, one might expect that to be applied consistently in all aspects of society. But if they switch back and forth between one or the other based on convenience, then that would break the threshold of hypocrisy, imo.

I do not consider behavior relevant, as long as the values and definitions are consistent.

If you exhibit asshole behavior, you are an asshole. Same with me, if I exhibit asshole behavior I am also an asshole. As long as I admit the same behavior is defined the same way for both of us, I am not a hypocrite. Whether I actually exhibit asshole behavior or not is irrelevant.

Here is a common example I see when people give advice to men on this sub and other dating subs:

Someone (usually a woman) tells a guy that is struggling that he must not be trying hard enough and needs to go out and "actually talk to women".
The same person will later stigmatize men approaching women in public, men chatting up women in public, and men joining activities with women. An extreme view I’ve seen sometimes is that guys wanting to date should stick to online dating and never approach anyone in the real world under any circumstance.

Well which is it? Should struggling men go out in the real world and "touch grass" or should they stop bothering women and never talk to anyone in public?

On point one, swing and à miss because it’s hypocritical to find onlyfans creators gross if I too make onlyfans content, however if I watch porn then I must simply be willing to be with someone who also watches porn, I hate how liquor companies make their money but I too drink… if I refused to be with someone who drank alcohol while myself drinking it that would be hypocrisy

In general hypocrisy can tend to be an overused label that isn't applied in a meaningful way. Like I have seen it applied where a woman still wants man to be tall yet that counts as "body shaming".

I think hypocrisy is when there's a serious contradiction in ideology at play, one that is completely opposite. A big one is preaching about 50/50 relationships but then wanting men to pay for dates and most things. That's a huge contradiction and definitely hypocrisy.

Oh I disagree here. If he’s out having sex with lots of women while also claiming women who have casual sex is degenerate, then he himself is promoting that degeneracy.

For example, it’s absolutely hypocritical to whine about drug addicts being degenerates when you’re the one selling the drugs to those addicts. Even if you’re not doing the drugs yourself, you are pushing the behavior yourself.

It doesn't matter how you or I define hypocrisy. There's a dictionary definition. Well, different dictionaries have different definitions, but they are all very similar. You're looking at something like "Saying that certain behavior is unacceptable but indulging in it yourself." The actual definition is something like "the practice of claiming to have higher standards or more noble beliefs than is the case." So your definition is close enough.

However, most people have troubles applying the definition correctly. For example, your first point:

That is not hypocrisy by definition. It would be if the person said that porn creators are gross while being a porn creator himself AND claiming that he somehow isn't gross. It would also fit the definition if that person said that whoever watches porn is gross while watching porn himself AND claiming he isn't gross for it. But you are trying to pile different things together. Creating porn is not the same thing as watching it. Also, it's important that the person implies they aren't gross. IF they say something is gross, do it themselves, and don't say they aren't gross (or acknowledge that they are gross), then there would be no hypocrisy here either.

Most commonly, people use hypocrisy just to call whoever they disagree with/dislike hypocrites. As in the examples above. People feel it's unfair that the person dislikes content creators while consuming content, but that's just what they feel. It's not hypocrisy by definition. Same things with your 2nd example, there is absolutely no contradiction here, especially since women have 100% control over who gets born. Some people just feel it's unfair, so they call those men hypocrites and don't care about the definition.

Now this is how you use it correctly. This is indeed hypocrisy if they are going on about sexual degeneracy or promiscuity in general. If they specify sexes, though, then it stops being hypocrisy.

I don't think the OF example is necessarily hypocrisy. It could be in some cases, but in others might not.

It depends on what the person in question thinks about their own behavior. "OF creators are gross, porn is immoral. I admit I watch it, but I really shouldn't; I'm weak" isn't hypocrisy. "OF creators are gross, porn is immoral. Except when I watch it, then it's ok because reasons." is hypocrisy.

We all have values we don't always live up to.
