“ women only want men who other women want” is projection.

Edit: this is not an argument against social proof, that is not the point. Social proof is good.

This is an argument against preselection. And that men have more preselection bias then women do.

“ women are only attracted to men who other women want” is projection

“ women want men desired by other women” is projection.

Short post but I think the evidence is pretty clear.

Men are the ones who actually want the women who are desired by other men.

Women just want attractive men. They do not care if other women like the man or not. This is very clear by how no matter the niche or subculture, women tend to favor similar traits from their men ( tall, fit, assertive, etc)

Men on the other hand are much more likely to find an array of women attractive ( tall, short, skinny, fat, assertive, docile, etc.) but it is us who gain social proof ( which means judgment from others) based on the perceived level of attractiveness that a woman is .

We can tell this by how men will definitely associate and sleep with women who they perceive as less than themselves, but won’t give commitments to them They aren’t themselves disgusted by the women, we will spend time with her, sleep with her laugh etc. but when it comes to an actual commitment, the pressure of what others will think of the relationship stops men from making these commitments.
