Pretty straightforward question. First off , lemme preface this by saying I’m not complaining about how dating works. I’m 22M, and I can safely say any man with a solid dating sense knows most women in general adjust their standards depending on what they’re looking for now , as well as the guy they ideally want for whatever reasons. It’s not consistent across the board. The next guy may be smarter , may have more money, be in better shape, y’all might have better chemistry whether mentally sexually or emotionally , you may just like one guy more than you do the next.

It happens.

But why should we men conform to some kinda moral rules or standing, when most women come with inconsistent standards?

You might as well be playing golf with a friend. The putt moves when you try to get it but it stays still with the other guy. So if the guy wants to bypass these flimsy rules that only HE was made to adhere to in the first place , you can’t really be upset at the guy for being upset at that. Men don’t hate how women use their bodies, men hate inconsistent standards. Why’s there a rule book when men date , but even trying to apply a rule book to women is misogynistic and counts as an ethically sexist crime against women?

I’m not saying it’s acceptable to flat out lie to good women or do them wrong , but I do think there’s some slight hypocrisy under the surface. If a guy shifts his personality to get preferred results from the woman of interest that he can’t get naturally , so be it. Men base their confidence on RESULTS. It’s hard not to get discouraged in anything when you’ve got repeated failures like 3 months at the gym and no weight loss.

No 2nd dates even when he thought it went well and he treated her well, going out with a woman that can probably converse, but is hardly invested , or just anything that shows a lack of interest . Don’t sit here and tell me “wait for the right one and she’ll find you” that’s very disingenuous, implying only beneficial dating experiences are left to good men when that is not always the case. At all.

TLDR; it often “pays off” more to be the bad guy when dating women because they have inconsistent standards most of the time. So why shouldn’t I be the bad? Genuinely curious. This isn’t a “woe is me” complaining post , cuz I’ve had my fair share of experiences already.
