Seriously what’s the point? Don’t waste your time. Focus on yourself and your future and ignore whatever she does or says.

I know that may sound harsh or insensitive, but it’s the truth. Every second you let her into your mind, she steals part of your life.

Don’t let her take any more from you.

You can Google one party or two party consent state for private conversations but in a public place, you have no expectation of privacy and therefore are allowed to record. Dash Cams are a wonderful thing.

I'll start by saying that I live in Texas.

When I was going thru the divorce she kept calling the police on me for x,y or z,so I consulted with the police about my options. I was advised to record every meeting, interaction, text, email, and phone call I would get from her, even if it only lasted a second, for she could claim I was abusing her or threatening her, etc, and to never met her in private always in a public place with video and witnesses.

You might benefit from doing some research regarding filming and privacy laws, in some places you can film anyone in public , even if they don't consent to it as there is no expectation of privacy in public, private property that's another bird, consult a lawyer and chat with a police officer too, inform yourself in the subject, good luck to you

You can film or record any human legally as long as you are there in the conversation with them, in contrast you cannot record a meeting of individuals that you are not present at. You do not have to alert the other party you are recording either, as long as you are present.

I actually used recorded conversations in my first divorce. Totally legal.

As far as I know, and you should check with an Attorney, there are no laws against taping people in public doing public things in public. Or most of CCTV cameras, commercial or residential, from parking lots to front door entryways, would be illegal.

You both need to do better as parents and stop traumatizing your kid with exchanges at a police station. You are both more worried about yourselves than your child. Can you imagine the memories this kid is going to have?

Unless court order says otherwise, in a public space there is no expectation of privacy. If your court order has a “no recording or surveilling the other party” then this could be an issue. I’d recommend going straight to the police station next time and refusing to interact till inside, but feel free to film in public if she’s coming up to you

You can also get a secret camera like a button or so to film her your interactions with her in public. Research to see if DC is a 1 party consent or not.

dude, just get glasses with camera on them, relatively hidden or otherwise stealth record out of sight. just don't make it obvious and you can have the record without instigating something.

in public im guessin its ok.

in PA, my lawyer told me i cant film pickups and dropoffs with my daughter at her house, even tho she has security cameras setup. she would routinely slam the door or be hostile until i started filming (blatently). then her lawyer threatened me with harrasment.

A dash cam should do the trick when it comes to audio. She may not even realize she’s being recorded. Just stick to the front of your vehicle during the exchange if you get out.

Find out your state law. In my state you can record without their permission. I just audio record in my pocket, she has no idea. She lied and said I was aggressive and yelled at her etc. I played the dates she said, it was nothing said or a civil minimalist convo. It ruined her credibility.

No if you're on a public street you can film as long as the person you're filming is also in a public area.

There is no expectation of privacy.
