I am a man who likes to date casually. I am open to long term relationships but it is very unlikely that I will get in them based on my current mentality. I don't just want to hook-up, I like to take girls on dates, pay for meals, go on hikes, go to events, etc. I want a relationship more than just hooking up, but I don't want to be limited in my options based on commitment. Essentially, I like to be in situationships.

Most women, on the other hand, seem to have the intention of long term dating and seeking commitment. Like almost all the women that I tend to like. Every day that a woman spends her time dating me, she is missing out on the guy that will lock her down, marry her, or have children with her.

I often tell women upfront, that I am unlikely to commit to them. Yet they persist despite their own personal goals.

So, as a man who casually dates, I feel like it is immoral because I feel like I'm wasting everyone's time. The dates are fun, the women enjoy themselves, but they want more, and I will not provide them that.

Does anyone else feel conflicted about casually dating as a man, and maintain subtle guilt about it? It seems that by casually dating, you are constantly disappointing women by not committing.
