Imagine going on a date with someone and calling them a loser because of their job. Can you imagine that? Probably not. Because it takes a huge asshole to do that. Don't let assholes get to you.

With that said some things will be true. In general women will prefer men with good jobs, yada yada. But it's one factor among many.

On the other hand I met my wife when I was working part-time at a low paying job and trying to finish grad school. She didn't mind.

I know a guy who started out as a Garbage man and had ended up with a hot Girlfriend. I'm not kidding: i asked if she was Joking and she said nope, she met him when he was a garbage Man.

It is true that Women (and People in general) want a confident partner who has a plan in life (and thus has career aspirations), but that's not the same thing as someone looking down on you because you have a (perceived) low value job. That's her problem and a good partner will love you for who you are and will be there for you good and bad. They might even encourage you to push yourself better.

It's not that we want men with high-paying jobs necessarily. For me, I'm gambling on whether we can survive together and if it looks like the answer is going to be "I'm carrying them because there are no jobs/they don't have a plan" then it's just too much on my income. I don't want us to be broke together.

If you have a solid plan to earn your keep going forward, you are not a loser, you are someone who is starting out. The kind of women you'll meet at 26 are probably new in their fields, too, especially if they went to grad school. The fact that you're studying and working says that you do have a work ethic, which is great!

Also, no human being should ever call another human being a loser to their face. That's just rude. Who raised her?

Sweetheart I am a 52 f and back then, couples built a life together. I had more at 20 than my husband when i met him when he was 27. I respected so much that he worked full time and put himself through school. And he drove a beat up honda accord.He was a bartender. Women today view every relationship as " how will this person improve my lifestyle". By 2030 at least 45 percent of women will be single and childless becduse of this attitude. Its just sad that good, hard working young men lose too. Women today are not worth it. Work on making your own life better, so you can feel better about yourself and build a life you can enjoy. I have no internships and the field I'm studying is saturated.

These two things is what would make you a loser in the eyes of most people.

You have to be incredibly incompetent to not have any sort of internships.

You may need to get licenses or certifications to stand out. No internship (of ANY kind) doesn't look good.
