What are women looking for in terms of dating advice on Reddit?

I haven't seen a single woman here asking for dating advice because this is indeed the wrong place for such advice.

There are close to zero women who are on this subreddit for dating advice. Most women here are partnered or married, and that is in line with what women are interested in.

Older married women have always been interested in dating dynamics and have some anthropological leaning interest in it. Young women who are single typically do not want advice—they are here to dunk on incels or tell everyone how much they think the “moids” suck.

During a brief period of life I was on Reddit communities for some general dating advice, and I had usually kept tabs on RPW, Vindicta, and later FDS to see what resonated. Most of my actual dating advice was given to me by my mom and older married friends. If I saw something repeated on Reddit, it let me know it was probably solid advice.

But here? Nobody should be using PPD to get dating advice.

This is a debate sub, not a dating advice sub. If you want to know what women look for regarding dating advice on Reddit, you should probably ask in a dating advice sub, where those women would be.

Such an odd question. It’s like i would ask you what food do you like and cant help but feeling you’re in the wrong place for recipes. Well duh? It’s a debate sub, most women can recognise it and look for advice (if needed on reddit) on some ask subs or dating advice. Really weird assumption.

I’m here because usually i’m in my info-bubble and i like to know what other people think, men and women. And here nobody holds them back.

I come to Purple Pill Debate because it’s a debate sub and I like to debate. I enjoy objectively unpacking sociological dynamics in a setting that allows you to do so without too much draconian moderation. It’s fun for me. A hobby of sorts. Not just on Reddit but in general.

I have never come to this sub or to the manosphere for dating advice.

Oof this sub would be my last choice if I were searching for dating advice on Reddit. Thinking women are in here for advice is crazy work.

I personally believe that if I cannot defend my opinions against opposition, then I shouldn't hold those opinions, and that friction refines my thoughts more effectively than an echo chamber ever will. I use this sub as a sandbox environment to test the views I hold.

Personally in terms of dating advice I am looking for someone to explain to unspoken rules/expectations in dating.

I don't date often so when I do get a date I will have usually forgotten what were the rules/expectations of dating . So then I need to brush up on the unspoken rules for dating (intersexual dynamics ) especially bc I am autistic.

Some questions I need answered generally look like, What is the bare minimum I can/have to do ? I don't want to be considered rude or insensitive how do I avoid that on dates ? Is this rude or is that rude ?

First off, this is a debate sub, I would not call it a dating advice sub. Posts seeking specific dating advice for oneself are removed.

Many of the women here, including myself, are married or partnered. I just find the dynamics and subject matter interesting, and I also think that these kinds of forums become echo chambers if there aren’t some people with more of an outsider’s perspective participating.

When I was single, I guess I looked for some dating advice on Reddit, but not here. Mostly female-only/female-specific subs.

This is a debate sub not for advice. People are here throwing shit at the walls to see what sticks which is mostly nothing because this place is fill with trolls and non-functioning adults.. Thinking this would be the place for advice would be really special. People come here mostly for free entertainment.

I think most dating advice is universal. Look good, be decent, be reasonable, communicate well. I can't think of anything specific to women that I'd want seek out. One piece of advice I see women mention at times is to not make the first move (let the man ask you out instead). I think it's an FDS/pink pill thing.

I'd say that reddit overall (not this sub) is probably more useful for marriage and LTR advice because people openly talk about stuff like their husbands being addicted to porn, partners cheating, dead bedrooms, etc.
