I’m not sure where your arguments are for the idea that attraction is not complicated.

I think attraction isn’t necessarily complicated, but it is complex. Women often don’t feel any arousal or attraction just from a pretty face - we need more stimuli than that, but it seems for a lot of men just visuals are perfectly fine.

Women do not pop boners instantly because they caught a glimpse of a guy.

So many guys here think women get wet seeing Chad on the other side of the room, like they do when they see Stacey.

Women need warmup for arousal, for myself I've become aroused (wet) after talking to a guy, never before. Other women may get aroused after a time of observing a guy, or after kissing, petting, etc.

Reactive desire. A body part while sometimes sexy, is not arousing on its own.

While we could create definitions for arousal vs attraction, and there is gonna be some distinction, I tend to reject any easy taxonomies on this kinda stuff. It can get messy if you dive deeply, especially in women. Consciousness and impulse are quite intertwined. Not necessarily at any given time, but even on the subconscious level, consciousness can tweak and reprogram imperfect heuristics. Women may be looking, instinctively, for say a kinds of power and competence. But their beliefs and experiences can change what things they end up seeing as powerful and competent. There tend to be limits, of course. As they say, nature holds nurture on a leash--but we never really know exactly how long that leash is.
